Close to the WTC on walking distance The hotel is located next to the highway and a hospital. Windows are not soundproof isolated, so it is noisy all the time. Even with the shades down. Sometimes sirens and cars horning are clearly audible.

Everything was perfect.

Loud people next to my room Came from a long travel day, delayed flight and there was no food available when I arrived, but even then probably not options for vegans/vegetarians.

There was no breakfast included - that would have been nice. But there was a good view of the World Trade Center. Otherwise, it overlooked a busy street - but there is an overpass you can cross into the downtown area. This was very helpful for someone like me, who does not desire to have to find parking spots in a busy city. If there was a laundry machine on site, perhaps. Although there is laundry within a 2 minute walking distance where they will fold it and everything for you.

The cleaning staff was very nice. The man working the check-in counter was one of the rudest people I've ever encountered in my entire life. No AC in the rooms, no fans. And they charge hourly rates.. lots of prostitutes. You will see lots of prostitutes in the lobby and on the elevator. Certainly not a place for families.

Exceptionally clean room. Many nearby (walking distance) food and transportation options. Fast check-in/out. Plethora of entertaining TV channels, as well as fast internet.

The hotel is located at the southern border of the Condesa neighborhood. You can easily access Condesa and Roma Norte by bike (Ecobici). It is incredibly good value for money - the room was extremely clean and the bed was comfortable. It’s the perfect place if you’re using it only for sleeping (since it’s very basic, without atmosphere). The reception area is a little peculiar - it looks like a money exchange booth with dark glass, so you’re not seeing the receptionist (you’re going to be talking to them, but you cannot see them). Another downside, if you don’t speak Spanish, is that nobody seems to speak English.

Awesome value for the money! Check-in time (12PM) and check-out times (2PM) are very convenient, much better than what most hotels offer. Felt safe walking around, 5-10 minutes walk to some nice cafes and fancy areas of La Condesa and Hipodromo. Exceptionally clean room and bed sheets! All rooms are facing highway which is very noisy and busy until 1AM and from 6.30AM. Even with the earplugs, the quality of sleep is not the best.

The price and the rooms were lovely! This motel is better than “El Aphrodita”. They have good hot water, they clean thoroughly, and honestly the hotel was tranquil. They use the classic Mexican blankets on the beds; that was such a sweet little detail. Halls smell like tobacco but that’s life and we know what kind of motel this is.

The location was the only thing I liked. The receptionist was nice and gave me a nice little basket with traditional candy, and on the second day, she offered sandwiches and a drink. I ended up in this hotel after Booking.com canceled my reservation at a different hotel without any notification. I showed up at my originally reserved hotel to find out I had no room to stay in. It was a very busy weekend (F1 Race), so most hotels were either booked or overpriced. Hotel Principe was more of a last-minute stay. Because of the busy weekend, the room was overpriced. I guess that during a non-busy weekend, the prices could be quite generous if all you need is a place to sleep. I did not know what to expect because this was not the hotel I had looked into. I did not like that the receptionist was behind a tinted glass, and I could not see the person behind. I also did not like that the rooms had physical keys (not the card ones but a real key), which I was asked to leave behind at the reception anytime I would step out of the hotel, even to get some tamales at the corner. The wifi was horrible. I could not even check my emails there, much less do any streaming. Again, this is not the hotel I was planning on staying and all the comments are just my opinions.
