It’s in the center of tourist attractions. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. They give complimentary snacks and drinks during your stay. Most of the hotel staff spoke English. No small hand towels to bath with. Extremely small room. The advertisement of room did not give an accurate description of room.

It is in a great location and has modern feel in a mix of history. Bedroom door was not sound proof and others returning later on at night could be heard.

The location is perfect for sightseeing. Many iconic landmarks were a few minutes from walking distance. The room was a bit small.

The location was perfect. Right beside the cathedral and minutes walk to templo mayor, the metro and numerous sights and restaurants. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The terrace bar also makes great margaritas. The walls were thin that we could often hear the people beside and below us in the morning/day but it was quiet when needed at night.

To say that this location is excellent is an understatement. It was the best hotel I have ever been in my entire life. On the lowest level you can even see the Aztec ruins through the glass floor and viewing area. You could not make a better hotel even if you try. N/A

Hotel Catedral was a great place to stay with kids on a family trip to Mexico City. Central location, great terrace views. Fabulous buffet breakfast, younger kids eat free . Helped with all our tours, and lent us a card for the metro. Free coffee, water, even light snacks in the lobby. Great being above an archaeological site! Family room with 2x separate bedrooms worked well, adjacent terrace to sit out on with hummingbirds! No fridge in room but ice freely available. 7-Eleven and Oxxo convenience stores very close, as were ATM and money change. Dinner in Restaurant Bar Catedral was a little disappointing. As you might expect for a good city hotel, laundry by the item, and so relatively expensive. Good service wash laundry options nearby, however.

The location and the staff are the real standouts here. They have multilingual staff and the rest who were not always smile and replied to my rusty landscapers Spanish. The rooftop restaurant and bar had fantastic food even with a paired down menu, but the view is great from behind the Cathedral. Be sure to get their free cold water bottles from the 2 refrigerators in the common areas not just for sightseeing, but also to brush your teeth with….The archeological sight under the glass floor is extremely unique but was not open during our stay. I would say this hotel will be 5-star after all renovations are completed. Our room and bathroom was a bit outdated and the safe batteries died the day before we left. I would recommend requesting a newer room in the remodeled section. Otherwise I would definitely stay here again!
