Hotel Amigo Suites

A fair price for the room. The common space reflected the historic district of Mexico City. I appreciated that I was able to get away to a safe place. No outside window in the room, only a glass door for which the curtain had to remain closed for privacy. The pillows were too tall for my taste. The front door easily pinched fingers. The room safe did not work so I felt it necessary to bring my valuable with me.

Staff were nice! Bed sheets were stained, dirt on the bed, roaches in the bathroom and lack of bathroom exhaust were the most disgusting.

The only issue I had was that I needed to wake up at 1am to go to the airport and there was no hot water. I didn't have time to try and troubleshoot with the front desk so I started my day a little grumpy.

Location The toilet was horrible, just a curtain to separate it with the room, zero chance of getting privacy.

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of El Zócalo, offering a variety of food options and delicious tacos right on the same block. It’s also close to the Metro station and major tourist attractions. It’s located in the central area of the city so it can get loud at night. There’s no air conditioning, fans, or elevators. We had to continuously ask for towels since we declined the daily cleaning service, as we were only staying for three nights.

That fact that it was very close to the Zocalo was great. Property was dirty and had cockroaches coming out from everywhere. I did not know about the insect infestation so I left my backpack on the floor to my surprise the climbed on my stuff, it was so gross. Linen had a body fluid stain from some other persons and I had to take it off.

Big spacious rooms, central location, clean. Stuff very friendly and always willing to help! The room was a bit cold.

It was a excellent location within walking distance of Centro Historico. Nothing.

Front desk staff good. Rooms were large. Windows opened. Shower dangerously sloped and slippery - beware! Bed short sheeted in every direction - couldn't have 2 people in the bed and be covered with the sheet or blanket. Kitchen had no actual function - no refrigerator, nowhere to store things. Lighting was dim and ineffective. Impossible to read. No elevator - no railings up to the front desk.

Centrally located by Zocalo. Old part of town with much character on pedestrian friendly area. Walking distance to shopping, jewelry, food, landmarks. Hotel room is bare basic. They are NOT SUITES! Name change is needed for this property. Booking.com note. No windows or any other comforts. Towels and amenities were substandard. Aside from the dormitory room type accommodation’s, the central location and age of the metropolis lends itself to nauseous type odors coming from plumbing. We covered piping with plastic bags and moist towels to help prevent odor entry into room. Picture
