Central location. Comfortable bed, pillows. Modern. Restaurants within block of hotel. Helpful, friendly staff (especially Arturo — he did not have to, but he gave us his Metro re-loadable card, with clear direction to Azteca. Superb front desk staff!) No free breakfast

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Bellas Artes. The hotel is in an excellent location, quiet and in the historical heart of the city. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff very friendly, informative and provided excellent service. The hotel restaurant was very good with substantial meals; although most of the servers had limited English, they were patient with non-Spanish speakers and provided great service. The hotel has a small but handy gym with a good selection of weights. Taxi and laundry services organised by hotel were efficient and great value. The hotel restaurant had both Spanish and English breakfast menus but only Spanish dinner menus.

In the Centro Historico district of Mexico City, this is a great choice. A block away from the Palacio de Bellas Artes and the nearby metro station, you can get anywhere in the city relatively easy and cheaply. Great restaurants are close by. The promenade through the heart of the district - La Avenida Francisco Madero - is a block away, and is a great place to walk and get a sense of the city and culture. The hotel itself is recently updated (2024, I think), and the rooms are clean and nicely laid out. The staff was pleasant and with the breakfast included it is a great value. I would stay again. There are two issues to be aware of, none related to the hotel. The first is the noise outside on the street. I could handle it for a few days, but it was rather annoying to get a 6am wake up on Sunday morning from a vendor/person(?) on a loudspeaker. They droned on until about 8am. The second is the area, which has a lot of empty buildings. As I understand it, these are warehouses for good imported by Chinese companies. It's a shame that these once beautiful buildings are now just shells to store goods, but along with that I think it introduces blight into the area since there is no care or pay attention to the building exterior as there would be with residential or storefront use. I hope the city planners make sure to have more mixed use in this area, otherwise this area could go downhill quickly.

Lovely rooms in a good location Restaurant for dinner was terrible. What a let down as it’s a lovely space. They could easily turn it into the go to venue for dining. What a waste of an opportunity. Also huge roof terrace that could be an excellent roof top bar
