Centrally located, 5 minutes’ walk from Mexico City Cathedral and the Zócalo Main Square, Hotel Isabel offers 24-hour reception and free Wi-Fi. It features an attractive central courtyard with columns. All rooms feature a laptop safe, sofa, cable TV. The majority of the rooms have private bathroom with a shower and some of the rooms are with shared bathroom. Some of the rooms also have a balcony. The hotel has a restaurant and a bar. This charming old hotel, located close to the attractions in the Centro Historico was perfect for us. The room, with its high ceilings was much larger than we expected and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Hotel Isabel is a Historic Beautiful Hotel in the Historic Downtown Mexico. The location is Perfect, the staff is excellent especially the maid that cleaned our room for our 1 week stay. Restaurant with good for and a bar make this a comfy great place to stay. There was only 1 thing we didn’t like. Everything else was perfect. This 1 thing is a very very important thing for a tourist to come and relax and rest for the the night. It was the hotel beds. Honestly you feel like you’re sleeping on the floor. They are very, very uncomfortable and very stiff. We were a group of 8 people and we all felt the same. The beds are too hard. Turning around all night is how we spend our bedtime. Did not get a good nights rest. If the beds were better I would give this hotel a perfect 10. Unfortunately the beds made it a sour stay.

The location was wonderful, and I just love the good-sized rooms and high ceilings. Everything was good.

The water is cold. The room is old and ugly. The staff is not kind. It was loud in the rooms....curtains that dont block out the light. For the money it was not worth the stay.

Nice location near Centro Building is in poor shape, beds were hard, blankets stiff and worn, room was very cold at night

My friend and I loved that it was a beautiful old historic building. It is also perfectly centrally located and we could walk easily to awesome bakeries, restaurants and shops! The staff were all fabulous, kind, thoughtful and helpful! We loved everything about the wonderful hotel! We had a perfect stay!

The location is great. Staff is friendly. Convenient walk to the metro, both for getting to/from the airport and around the city. The beds are on the extra firm side, but we managed by adding some layers.

Location and staff were very friendly.Bed was comfortable and water hot.I liked the old architecture of the bldg My room was facing street and could be a little noisy if you want to relax in the daytime but generally quiet at night

Really really really noisy… if you’re in the side of the road, good luck to sleep after 6 am.

The bed was so hard my husband had a backache. There was a stench of sewer gas that came up through the bathroom pipes. I would not return here because of that.
