Boulan South Beach

We stay here three to four times a year and highly recommend it. Staff is always on top of everything. The rooms are fantastic, and the pool is wonderful. There’s a CVS 30 seconds away which is always helpful for snacks and everything else you need. Housekeeping always keeps the room refreshed and stocked.

It was a very nice stay, I would definitely book again.

If your used to staying in 4 to 5 star hotels and resorts I would not advise staying here. I

No beach view, the room was okay, and it was so hot in the lobby space. Very small.

The room was generally clean, but the shower door did not close properly and hung downward, causing it to slam into the adjacent glass panel. Because it could not fully close, water leaked out while showering and left the bathroom floor wet. I also grabbed a towel to dry myself and felt something sharp scrape my arm, only to find what appeared to be a paperclip stuck in the towel. We reported it and simply requested new towels. The biggest issue was discovering a sign by the elevators on our second night stating that scheduled maintenance would leave the entire hotel without power from 9:00 AM–2:30 PM the next day. This was never disclosed when we booked through Expedia, called to confirm, or checked in. Had we known, we would not have paid for the additional night. Since this was a staycation, we checked out that evening instead. The front desk apologized but stated there would be no refund or compensation. Maintenance is understandable, but a planned 5+ hour power outage should absolutely be disclosed to guests in advance. Between the late check-in, room

My stay was horrible at the Boulan .started with the check in . they couldnt find my name and when they seen me all stressed out is when they got it right . Not only that we was hit with a 600 dollar holding fee. No one speaks good English so the language barrier didn't help. I was told at check in that I got a free breakfast which was a lie . I got the Penthouse which was like a regular room .I walked in and said this cant be the Penthouse. Toilet seat was broken .shower heads was filled with dirt ,grime. The balcony door was hard to open and it took two people to open it. The pool was disgusting and disappointing and oily as he'll. I didn't sleep under the covers because something was bitting me in the room . I never will stay at the boulan again .

Rooms were filthy and smelt bad, not what is advertised online. We were given a room much smaller and cheaper than what we paid for. We had no choice but to leave these awful conditions as they couldn’t provide the room we paid for. We ended up finding another hotel in the middle of the night that was actually clean with lovely staff and facilities.

The bathroom killed the vibe, and housekeeping was impatient, yes I understand they have a schedule but the feeling of being rushed so you can clean the room I’m coming back to is diabolical

Location The pool area was small, crowded and noisey. The common areas were dirty and tired.

Rooms were better than expected. Spacious and modern. The ac was out in the lobby, so extremely hot downstairs. The description of where the beach is not exactly what was expected. You gave to walk 2ish block. Beach acces itself was nic3 and easy. Located about 5min for the

Boulan was overall a nice looking property but our Jr King Suite with “terrace” was okay. The “terrace” was extremely small and definitely not like the picture which was extremely frustrating. When asked about it, front desk assured us that the room was correct that was just the size of their “terraces” for that floor (second floor). The front desk even offered to see if there were any other rooms available but sadly, there were not. Great, spacious room, especially for only 2 people but again, the terrace was something I was looking forward to and didn’t get anything like the picture. Leonardo next door does get loud during weekends so be careful with that but other than that.. 1) location is top tier walking distance to pretty much everything 2) no more than a 7 min walk to beach 3) front desk assistants were more than ready to help & again, nice hotel just may need to be kept up a bit more. (Holes / scratches / dings) in walls.

Location was great. Room was clean, well decorated and great kitchen facilities in the room. Shower leaked onto the floor creating big puddles that extended out into the room. Could have benefited from more hangers as there were approx 8 between 4 of us

Had a wonderful stay here and really enjoyed the rooftop pool! The room was great and had an amazing view of the city. Would definitely return again!
