Cardozo Hotel South Beach

This hotel was amazing! We will be back! Staff was great and so accommodating to us during our stay. Rooms were perfect for us. We enjoyed using the bikes that were available to us. This is the perfect location.

I like it wasn’t too far from the beach. Room was nice clean but no ice machine on the 3rd floor, no microwave or fridge. Parking was supposed to be valet and wasn’t due to World Cup was in town. Restaurant was in the hotel the food and staff was excellent.

Lovely stay in an iconic hotel. Even though it was crazy busy with World Cup visitors, the staff were helpful and service was good. On-site restaurant is excellent and the location can't be beat.

The staff were very accommodating and allowed us to check in early when possible.

Loved our stay. So clean, staff was very friendly and helpful, and we used the bikes, beach chairs and towels (a great plus!). Will definitely come back.

The restaurant experience was similarly frustrating. After being seated, we waited 15–20 minutes before receiving any assistance, and only after we asked. There appeared to be ample staff present, but service was noticeably slow. They were quick to add a service charge to the bill although the service was lacking. The server also quick to inform we could add an additional tip as the service charge is split amongst all staff. The amenities also fell short of expectations. Beach chairs were available, but guests were required to carry them themselves, and no umbrellas were provided. The complimentary bikes were a nice offering, but the one-hour usage limit felt restrictive. Overall, the property has potential and benefits from a great location, but significant improvements in customer service and guest support would greatly enhance the experience.

Very close to the beach, this historic hotel is very pleasant. There is a restaurant and bar, which is useful, but there are numerous restaurants within walking distance. The regular rooms are small, but comfortable. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The elevator is tiny, from a bygone era, which can be a problem for larger groups with a lot of luggage. Overall, we had a very positive experience, and would definitely stay there again.

The bikes are great and they had a complementary bottle of wine in the room which was gracious and thoughtful. I would stay again.

This was a great hotel to stay for the location and the price. Everyone was so sweet and helpful. The only issue we had was the bar area and restaurant smelt of mildew. Like there was excessive water that wasn’t properly dried and cleaned. I also wouldn’t attempt to eat breakfast there if you’re on a time crunch. We were there when it was supposedly open and they had just started to set up. A half hour later we left in search of food. We were only there one night so it was perfect for us, but wouldn’t stay for a long trip.

Excellent location, lovely spacious room, large comfortable beds, nice simple decor, huge shower. Lovely Art Deco hotel, very nice reception staff. Right across the beach, ocean does have lots of seaweed, hotel offered beach chairs and towels, Hotel has bicycles to use, to ride safely on the many bicycle paths. Shower water not very warm/hot.

Great location! Front desk staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. There were a couple of room issues that were not big deals but slight annoyances. The ice machine on our floor was not working so we had to get ice on the 2nd floor. The closet door in our room kept falling off the hinges, which was annoying when we accessed the safe and the iron. Those two issues were very minor considering the location and the price. There’s a cute cafe/coffee shop next door to the hotel that had great food and service - convenient for needs prior to the hotel restaurant opening. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this hotel for a short weekend stay.
