Nice vintage hotel. The area is a problem for me loud music trashy people. Both the Clevelander and Essex house are beautiful property's its to bad that they only cater to low class trashy loud people.I was completely put off by this and will never return.Holel was very well run.

Parking was good value for money but overall Miami Beach is a massive cash cow overpriced everything please be aware of this we were not expecting to pay for parking and breakfast avacado toast and caffe $50 really !! Anyway live and learn

We checked in and the room had not been cleaned. The toilet didn’t flush properly. No refrigerator, the tub was slippery; both of us almost fell. I had to pay $50 to rent a chair and umbrella on the beach when the hotel stated that they were included in the amenities fee. The pool was on another property. Basically non existent at Essex house. Breakfast was included but it was only a muffin and coffee. This hotel is NOT a 4 star hotel. Avoid it.

Loved everything..Great service
-
Great staff. Not the best cleaning the room though.
-
Needs work on the hotel rooms, Especially the bathrooms. Also the hidden fees are bad. Everything else was pretty decent. But the stay wasn’t worth the price.
-
Location was fantastic but an accommodations looked remodeled “enough”. Nobody goes to south beach to sleep but my only complaint would be the noise all night from outside and the neighbors through the walls. Still a great stay and the price was great. Just fair warning

Great stay, right in the middle of everything!

This is NOT a family friendly hotel, it’s a party hotel and the swimming pool was very small and was at the Adult ONLY beach club with music blazing all night. Also be prepared to spend $50 a night for parking and a $49 per person resort fee per day. Check your bill because Hotels.com charges you a resort fee and the hotel also bills you a resort fee. Location was perfect but again, hotels.com should advertise as a hotel for adults and not family!!!

Good

No microwave, no Ice machine, and no business center. The staff was nice, the room was clean and the AC worked. The continental breakfast was a dry croissant and coffee. Don’t go there for the free breakfast.

Disappointing

What I liked most about the property was location and cleanliness. Most of the staff was extremely accommodating, friendly, and helpful. One female staff member was extremely rude. The rooms do not come with a microwave. When we asked the female front desk person about receiving or using a microwave, she never gave us eye contact and stated, No we don’t have microwaves for guests… we asked again, because we know that when you request a microwave they deliver it to the room upon request. She has a very rude demeanor and stated, No and shrugged her shoulders. When she left for her shift, the next employee was helpful and brought the microwave to our room with no issues. Also, guests can not get their own ice and must go to the front desk to get some.

The hotel was run down in general & had very low quality amenities
-
It was a clean room with good air conditioning with the humidity. They also provide you with a little bit of supplies for showering such as body wash, shampoo, conditioner, even lotion as well. Staffs were very kind and respectful as for conscience. Parking was a little pricey because it had to be parked with valet but it was good anyways.
-
This was a nice place to stay right on the beach and around lots of shopping and restaurants and bars to have fun
-
Staff sprayed something to make smell better that made it worse allergies kick in. Had to check out and get other arrangements
-
It was at the very top of a hill away from town, they only gave us one towel per person. It took 30 minutes to walk to the beach and they don't even have beach towels or anything to facilitate. Each room is on a separate floor with multiple steps. I would suggest staying here only if it's the only place in town.

nice quiet and very helpful on anything you ask for
