MainStay Suites Middleburg Heights Cleveland Airport

The location was great, just down the road from a bunch of restaurants and near a couple of wooded trails. Parking was easy and free. Air conditioning was powerful.

This was by far one of worst places I’ve ever stayed for work travels. I wanted a hotel with a kitchenette to accommodate my dietary needs that I meal plan. Upon arrival to my room, the TV didn’t work. The front desk attendant came to reset the TV. Mind you every time I turn the TV off it needed to be reset so I’m glad that I payed attention to what she did the first time. Also, with a kitchenette, I assumed there would be necessary items like dish soap. I wanted to wash my dishes that I had used and there was no dish soap. I called the front office and they told me that I needed to come to the office to acquire the dish soap. This makes no sense if they are booking rooms with kitchenettes. The room was dirty. There were crumbs on the couch in the room and the kitchen was not fully cleaned from the last individuals that stayed. Pillows on the couch were dirty/stained. Also, within the first night, I discovered a flea, biting my foot. I tried to inform the staff and they were completely unresponsive. Poorly run, sticky floors/carpet, and housekeeping? Who knows.

I liked the apartment style layout and the location was convenient. There were several dirty areas/things and the staff at check in barely spoke English and didn’t explain about WiFi password, actually he didn’t explain anything. Normally staff will explain check out time, WiFi and payment. The man only asked for more money as a deposit when it said on booking that all taxes and fees were included in the price. Also booking said the card on file would not be charged that I would pay upon check in which was not the case the card was charged and there was no way to change it to a different one. Dirty stuff included the tub, cabinets, fridge, microwave, stains on the furniture and bedskirts. The bathroom light would not work, the oven would not close all the way, the bed was hard as a rock and I actually prefer a firm bed but this one was too hard. The only good things was the layout, convenient location, and cheap price for 2 bedroom suite.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bedding was clean, but the overall impression of the place was that it was a bit worn, tired, and in need of some renovation.

People outside loitering around NOT a good element. Smoking weed and smells bad of it. Didn’t feel really safe as the people hung out all hours of the night Not sure if they were guests ?!? Or?? I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The wrong was very clean.The property was clean.The staff were very respectful and helpful. The air conditioner was ice cold and if he needed to turn it down and work perfectly fine to adjust to your temperature , parking is a little tight , but we always sound somewhere to park.

Front desk staff was not friendly. Lady at the front desk when we first came in, lied to us about being able to cancel our second night. When we only had two towels in our room and we were staying two nights 's. The front desk told us we had to bring down to towels in order to be able to have the other two. Never heard of such a thing. Bathtub was worn and cracked and the top rim along the bathtub insert was not cleaned for who knows how long. Carpet appeared to be vacuumed but under the bed had not been vacuumed in again. I don't know how long. Most other things in the room were nice and well set up. But the attitude of the people up front and the uncleanliness of the bathroom put a wrench in our stay. Did not wrap up until went down for coffee at 6:00. A.m. when it was supposed to have just been put out and it was already empty. Went down an hour later and it was still out of coffee. Maybe little things but not very happy about it.

The property was decent and comfortable. The staff was amazing. The bathroom could use a little work

The room itself was very nice, clean. Location was great for us. Hallways were dim, smelled like wet dog at points. Have stayed here before, the kitchen in each room should have the same items. Past rooms had certain dishes or flatware, where as the next room didn't have the same. Consistency would be great.

I only stayed one night but I had stayed at this property before and it never disappoints for me I be enjoying the peace and quiet.

Bad

The property was very nasty and uncomfortable, and they was rude I didn’t like nothing about the property. It was very nasty, unprofessional and rude.

All I have to say is if I come back to Cleveland and staying multiple days I’m booking this hotel again 10/10

Our dishwasher was broken and water leaked everywhere. The oven was also zip tied close because it was broken. All the amnesties were old and crusty. The hallways also reaked.

Bring your own towels. I had a hard time requesting more towels from the gentleman who works the night shift. He said only one set per person. I have two girls and we ALL have very long and thick hair.

The room had strong very unpleasant odor in the hallways. There were cobwebs in some of the corners of the room.We had to bring wet towels to building next door in order to swap out for clean towels. The bathroom didn’t have vent in it and there was water damage. We were very disappointed with our stay and stayed minimal amount of time that we had to.

Room looked clean and taken cared off except it’s def outdated, but the hallway smelled musty and gross, and it was hot in the hallway. All the amenities worked, and it does the job for the cheap price. Had a flight cancellation and needed to stay somewhere. I was a bit disappointed that there’s no shuttle, and supposedly they have a car service for an extra fee but only if you don’t book it thru a third party site like this. Kind of a weird rule. Make sure to reserve your uber/lyft ride if you have an early morning flight. It’s not horrendous, but it’s def not spectacular. Very mid.

Did not feel safe entering the hotel. Doors were not locked.

I stayed in room 105 and it smelled so bad of ammonia and urine it was disgusting
