Stay at the Hampton was fantastic. The room we booked was as advertised, VERY clean, no foul smell, nice beds. Wi-Fi worked well, as did the heat/cool in the room. The pool was warm and clean. Staff were very helpful and welcoming and the breakfast was standard hotel fare. Location is close to lots of restaurants in walking distance and very close to the river. Would absolutely stay here again.

Room wasn’t in the best shape. Mine and my coworker car got broken into on the same night. Hotel said the was nothing they could do call the city.it was a rough stay. The sheets on the bed came off while I was sleeping not fitted to the bed.

Maid service is not regular.

Keep the pool open later, rooms are ok, a bit cramped. Directions to and from the parking garage is convoluted. Good location and price.

Location Some of the checks in staff members were not the most friendly

Very helpful front desk. Room was clean and comfortable.
-
location was ideal for attending concert at the Riverside Theatre. Many restaurants and bars also within walking distance of the hotel. Easy access to the riverwalk. Parking garage conveniently attached to hotel

The room was clean, staff was great. We were only there for a few hours to sleep, but the area was safe and easy to walk to the fiserv forum.

The elevators creaked and squealed. Maybe maintain them a little better. Also, it room wasn't even ready for check in by 5:45pm. We had to wait in the lobby until it was clean.

This hotel has the best location in Milwaukee and offers comfortable rooms at a good price. But the housekeeping staff didn't do their job. Recommended with reservations.

Good

Hampton Inn's at other locations have, in the past, been a sure thing for us. This one was not. The breakfast was as good as others. The location is good if you go towards the river or across the street; if you take a right, it feels barren and reveals Milwaukee's flaws. Other than these there isn't anything positive to say. The rooms were very awkward entering a small sitting area then through the bathroom to the bedroom; the furniture and decor is very dated and the couch is soiled; the floors felt sticky and I'm not sure if it was the carpet or the tile; the AC was stuck on one temperature, leaked condensation down the wall and on to the floor, and is in the bathroom so does not manage an even temperature in the room; the toilet and shower are in an oversized area with no hooks or shelves; the refrigerator is too small and stuck inside a cabinet; the safe did not work; and all of the outlets were too loose to hold chargers. We were disappointed. They seem very short staffed as well.

The lobby had been renovated, but the room had not, very old, scratched and worn furniture. They frig was stuck in a cabinet in a very unusable way. Very hard to get in and out of. They phone did not work. We had to go down to the desk with any questions. The shower was terrible. It sprayed very little water, no adjustment. Will not book this again.

The staff were very helpful and did their best to assist guests and ensure a pleasant and satisfactory stay. Very disappointing hotel experience. The room and hotel facilities were not maintained to an acceptable standard. There was no microwave in the room. There was no laundry service or washing machine available. The carpet in the room was very dirty and looked like it had not been properly cleaned. The mattress had a visible stain on the side, which was very unpleasant. There was no hand soap in the main restroom in the lobby. The refrigerator in the room was not cooling properly. The hot water was inconsistent and sometimes was not hot enough. The elevators made very loud and scary mechanical noises. They sounded as if something was loose or falling inside, which made us uncomfortable using them. For a hotel, basic cleanliness, properly working room equipment, hot water, and safe-feeling elevators should be expected. Unfortunately, this hotel fell well below those expectations. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying here unless these maintenance and cleanliness issues are addressed.

Good clean room

No, sorry thats not what I paid for. After continuously telling her no, I need 2 beds in the same room she magically found a room available for us.

We stayed here for a weekend and the location was great. We could walk to the Third Ward, Milwaukee Public Market, Lakefront Trail on Lake Michigan and the River Walk. They also have Lime Bikes everywhere and are easy to use. Lakefront Brewery and the Brewery Neighborhood were great places and views.

The room was clean but outdated. The room temperature control system is strange. It is summertime, but the room's default temperature is really cold (67F). There are two temperature control panels. One did not seem to work at all. The other controls a heating airflow, which is really noisy. Turning it off would shut off the noise, but the room became really cold... Other than the temperature and noise issues, the room was okay. The staff is nice and friendly.
