Historic and maintained. The pub had 5 star level food. Truly exceptional. Unusually hot weather and I was very disappointed they had no fans at all (permanent or portable) for me to bring any circulation to the room.

Great location, I was warmly greeted upon arrival. Food was great. Very nice atmosphere. Amazing choice of breakfast. All good

Friendly and accommodating staff, good location for SWC path walkers though a bit of a walk to town for amenities. Room was Spartan but clean. Excellent pastries at breakfast. The view from the room (11) overlooking kitchen bins - rooms could use a refresh

About .5 mile from town centre so a bit of a walk if eating in town

Nothing. Liked everything.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay, the room could do with some modernisation but it was comfortable and clean and more than good enough for my needs. The food was excellent, both the evening bar meal and the breakfast. The staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful so all in all an absolute bargain. The only problem was that the shower drain was partially blocked, and the water level rose above the door seal. I had to wait for the water level to drop before I dared open the door. A very minor thing and something I'm sure that will be very easily fixed.

Breakfast Very cold ? room and I was with my elderly mother she was very cold ? all night and morning very disappointed ☹️

Breakfast and dinner very good. Room spacious with a lovely view. Overlooking the harbour. Really comfortable bed. Room was clean. B Facilities in the room very basic. For the size of the room very little furniture. And not of good standard. Poor tea making facilities. Just seemed tired. Room was very cold on arrival. Extra portable radiator in room which did not work.

Great room with a better view. Staff was nice.

Location was excellent. Room size and view, was ideal. Bar meal was not good, had to return 3 meals. Needs update, TLC. Looking very tired.

Food not great. I ordered gammon and eggs for dinner, took nearly an hour, and eggs burnt brown, crisp, and inedible. It's hard to burn eggs! Breakfast a little better, but I had cereal and toast.
-
The bed was very comfortable indeed and the room was pleasantly decorated. The location was superb. We were both a bit disappointed with breakfast: it arrived late (20 minutes after we'd ordered) and mine was lukewarm.

Love love love the history and charm of this Old World charming Pub and Inn! Right in front of the quay & fun to watch the tide come in and lift the boats of the sand. Also at the trailhead of the Southwest Coast Path! Don’t cover those ancient floorboards in the hall upstairs, I can image the boots of sailors from centuries past walking on them! The bed was very comfortable and great to have an original old fire place (not functional) in the room. Somebody needs to do some thrifting for some vintage furniture to bring back a bit more charm to the bedrooms and bedroom doors to complete the ambience :) still a gem to stay at!

Location All seemed pretty good

The breakfast was the best b&b breakfast I have had in 40 years of traveling!
-
Charming pub, with a nice view of the old harbour. Not much sound proofing so it was very noisy when anyone walked down the corridor. Room key was rather old and had to rattle it around in the lock to get in.

Although they did not provide the twin beds, the room we had was very nice - with harbour views and a pretty balcony. The general decor of the place was a little shabby and in need of updating but our room was I think one of their best. Breakfast was more than adequate. general decor along stairs ways a but on the shabby side and in need of updating.
