El Tambo was very nice! It was in a fantastic part of town right in downtown Lima. The staff were extremely friendly and the hostess even gave me a map with all of the cool local parks, bars, restaurants, and sights nearby all within walking distance which was great! The place was clean, the room was really comfortable, and overall we very much enjoyed it. The hotel restaurant closed quite early the Wednesday night we stayed. I came back to the hotel from checking out a local bar around 9:30pm and I thought it would still be open to order food but the hostess said the kitchen was closed. This would be the only qualm, maybe having the restaurant open a bit later. Otherwise it was a great stay!

It was the best hotel I stayed during my Peru trip. I would say it is 4 stars not 3 as is stated. Absolutely everything was perfect. I am really sorry that we could only stay one night. Regarding the location it is 10-15 minutes walk to the ocean. If you need to go to the center you need a taxi or public transport. We felt absolutely safe in the neighborhood.

Clean, nice spot in Miraflores, easy stop for the Perú Hop bus. Nice hours for the complimentary breakfast which had make your own waffles which was a nice addition to breakfast. We used their hotel taxi to get to airport which was easy and a good price. Room was clean.
