Exceptional modern Ryokan with beautiful modern but traditional architecture, exceptional location, and exceptional japanese cuisine. Really nothing much!

Fantastic ryokan, natural vibe, delicious food

Amazing food for the Ryokan and beautiful views. Would definitely be back! Very friendly staff too. The onsen in the room was normal water and the mineral was only in the public bath. Other than that it was fantastic.

Best food, great stay, beautiful view, friendly staff The onsen in the room wasnt mineral water, only the public bath but it was ok, public bath was very close to room.

The ryokan is a short distance from the train station, yet Tanaka-san picked us up & walked us through check-in. She explained about the room & asked about times for our kaiseki dinner & breakfast. We were too early to enter the room so we walked out to the beach & in the town. Both of these were very close to the ryokan & very romantic. The smallest detail was thought of in the room layout especially towards comfort & privacy. Having a view of the beach beyond the small Japanese garden was a photographer's dream. The styling was traditional Japanese with western sensibilities. Both Dinner & Breakfast were handled by Yuko-san. She explained each dish as we were being served & the local sources used. Yuko-san was gracious & we felt welcomed for both meals. What did we like? Everything! The following comment has no connection to the ryokan. Amanohashidate is in Kyoto-fu, but the location is on the far less populated Sea of Japan side. Train fares are mostly covered by the Rail Pass, but there is an additional fee for the connecting segment to the closest station. I would also recommend reserving a seat since the trains are fairly small.

Think is over priced with limited facilities.

Everything is wonderful! I would like to recommend this hotel to my relatives.

Very cosy Japanese style accommodation experience. Onsen is private and you feel you have your own me time. No

This was as perfect an experience as we could have hoped for. Every attention to detail came together to make this stay absolutely exquisite.

The best location. Services of the hotel. I booked Sea View room but it seems that my room was the only one in the hotel that cannot overlook the sea cause it has many pine trees in front although the room is next to the sea.

Really lovely hotel, I would like to stay there all day and night. The rooms are huge, foods r delicious and staffs are friendly. Everything is perfect there, everything that u need can find in the room, free mini bar. Inside the bathroom, u can find flat irons, facial masks and lotion etc
