The onsen and the breakfast buffet

For westerners : there's no bathroom in the building, you have to go to the sento across the street and it's a traditional one. I liked it but it can be unsettling for some. Yukata is provided. Also walking distance from the train station. Very close to the bus stop which takes you to Amanohashidate park but beware, the bus doesn't run very often. I found out randomly that we can rent bikes for free from the Amanohashidatesou hotel and we can give them back way later than the other rental shops which was a big plus for me. I don't know why it's not advertised. I found out only because I was walking by this hotel, saw the bikes outside, and asked if they were for rent. This is why this accommodation is hard to rate. The rooms are very good but the building doesn't seem to be well maintained. I also saw crawling bugs at night in the ladies toilets. Without this aspect I would have given a 9.

The hotel was clean and I didn't hear any noises Not far from the station, good stop if you want to go to Amanohashidate and or Ine Everything seemed rather old and worn down, they should renovate the place some time soon. Also the shared bath (Onsen) is in a separate building and only fits 2 persons

Exceptional

I liked that the hotel had a Sento and a restaurant. The restaurant was very good. They had a lot of fresh and authentic food options. I could see a little bit of the bay from my window. The bed was super big and comfortable. Even though the staff was only speaking japanese, they were helpful and we could communicate. They were open minded. For more complicated requests on my side I used a translation app and this worked totally fine. The common rooms were used and a little bit old. But everything was clean and orderly and my room was very clean and comfortable.

The location was great and had nice izakaya places nearby. The place is old and the rooms smelled a bit.

The lady at reception was very nice, when I first got there. The room was very big. It was clean. I had complimentary tea. It had a very nice bath at the hotel.

Staff were friendly. Room was bigger than most hotels. Restaurant food was fresh and you could see the Chefs making the food right in front of you. Everyone I soaked in an onsen I had a red spot like a bacteria both times somewhere on my body. This happened once at a Miyasaki onsen and once at the onsen here at Hotel Tango. Maybe there is a problem with bacteria. The onsen seemed clean so I don't understand why.
