The location is excellent, right in the heart of Monopoli and within walking distance of everything. It was the perfect place to stay and explore the city. The room had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, and the staff member who assisted me was incredibly helpful. She provided great recommendations on places to visit, answered all my questions, and was always friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Monopoli. While the breakfast items were good, I personally would not recommend paying extra for it, as the bakery's selection is mostly sweet pastries and baked goods. There are very few savory options available, so it may not suit everyone's preferences. If you're looking for a more complete breakfast with items such as eggs, cheese, or other savory foods, you may want to skip paying breakfast.

Location and helpful tips

Good location Bed was too hard In the kitchenette there was a cabinet that couldn’t be closed and was full of pigeon poo. Breakfast was at a local cafe with outdoor seating only and was a coffee and croissant only. No other choice was available.

Great location in Centro Storico! The room was very clean and served us well. Alessandra was so nice and went out of her way to make sure our stay was special. Grazie! ?

The owner was very helpful

I loved my stay here! I felt very safe and cared for as a solo female traveler. Alessandra was very welcoming, accommodating, responsive and gave great suggestions! The location is amazing and right in the old town. Thank you and I hope to come back :)

Alessandra is a wonderful hostess, and is attentive to the needs of her guests. She even came to a nearby café to find me when my GPS was sending me elsewhere. Pro-tip: ask her about what to enter into your GPS so as to avoid that mistake. All good!

Outside of control: street noise. Earplugs had been provided but I don't sleep well with them in, so I didn't use. Otherwise, extremely good stay.

Fantastic location. Owner was really helpful. Stay went without any hiccups what so ever. Really good value for money & breakfast was delightful. Be sure to visit the vegan organic restaurant just around the corner - called Munz munz is a real treat for excellent food and really good organic wine

The host is so considerable and professional and friendly. She's thought of everything to make it such a pleasant stay from restaurant recommendations to letting you leave you bag on checkout..as soon as I had booked, she was in touch to arrange check in. I will be back next year! Nothing to not like!

Everything!! It was perfect for just myself. It was close to all the best spots of the historic centre. The property was immaculately clean, the bed was comfy, the amenities were stellar. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Alessandra was lovely and she gave excellent recommendations for local restaurants, cafes and sites to see. Special thanks to Caffe Roma for the morning croissant and cappuccino!! One of the best places to stay here in Monopoli. They also have other room options if you’re a party of 2. Would recommend to anyone! Honestly nothing. It was perfect for me!

The location is excellent, the room very spacious, the bed comfortable. A small kitchen with essential items was all I needed to make morning coffee, keep drinks/food items chilled Nothing

This is a lovely room on the top floor of this B&B. It's large, comfortable and the airco works very, very well. The neighborhood is very quiet at night which was a plus, because many old town areas in Pulgia are very noisy and congested. The owner was wonderful, thoughtful & charming. She warned us about construction in the area during the day and even gave us earplugs. It was nice having a kitchenette and several chairs to sit in and spread out our stuff. The room was a bit of a climb on some steep stairs, but with small suitcases, we managed just fine. Breakfast was offsite.

We loved our stay at Borgo San Martino. It is a lovely location in old town Monopoli. Alessandra was an amazing host. She had great recommendations for restaurants and things to do around the city. We would love to come back some day

Our host was amazing! She allowed us to check in when we arrived and to rest. This is a perfect spot to spend a couple of days in town. Our little spot was the perfect walkable and safe location in Monopoli but above all else we appreciated the personal experience.

Alessandra (the host) was extremely friendly. She gave us lots of tips and recommendations and was super pleasant. She gave us a thorough run down on our first day and always chatted with us when we saw her. Alessandra was always available via WhatsApp to answer any questions. We received a free large bottle of water daily. Breakfast was at a nearby cafe - the cafe had plenty of options including pastries and sandwiches. The room was very authentic and spacious. The room also had a small kitchen complete with cups, glasses, plates, etc. The towels were thin and a bit rough. The beds were also uncomfortable - could do with a mattress upgrade. The bathroom could use a little shelf to keep your toiletries on. The kitchen included tea bags but we did not see a kettle.
