Le Relais Saint Michel

Great location that the hotel simply does NOT deserve Poor number of staff in the restaurant Disappointing breakfast Basic rooms : no AC, ants/flies/grasshoppers alive or dead in the rooms. Basically the price you pay is REALLY NOT WORTH what you get Catastrophic restaurant at night: the staff were fighting in front of the guests and you can wait more than an hour and half to eat. Simply a SHAME. Will NEVER renew the experience.

Location and the view from the restaurant. Close to parking and shuttle bus. Needed renovating. Spots on carpet in bedroom.

The location is amazing for a visit to Mont St Michel. We had an incredible view of the Mont St Michel from our room, too, and it was really spacious. It’s a little dated.

Location was great, view was amazing

The view is really the highlight of this hotel (albeit a bit obstructed by trees from the rooms - yet completely open from the restaurant/communal area). The staff are attentive especially at the bar/restaurant. The room was really spacious with two different bathrooms on each floor and a nice balcony. Breakfast was very average and refills were slow to come.

Excellent location! Very nice rooms and a great view of the Abbey. Staff were extremely nice and helpful!

Location Restaurant catered to tour groups, primarily Asian and were not nearly as attentive to families or couples.

Great location, good food and nice people with 1 exception. No AC so it was very and only had one broken down fan. The women who ran the restaurant was very unpleasant. When making a reservation for dinner the 2nd night I was told they were full. I said we were staying at the hotel could she please find us a table. She was not happy but agreed. When we arrived there were several large parties but plenty of empty tables. She put us at a table in the far corner in the window. Even at 8:30 PM it was still unbelievably hot. There were at least 5-6 other empty tables that were never filled. It appeared she got even with us for asking for a table. The food was good but it soured us on our entire stay. This lady needs to find a new line of work.

No AC or food choices after 9pm

Great hotel, comfortable beds and pillows, nicely appointed bathrooms, very good restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. We hadn't made a reservation and they were wonderful in accommodating us. We had a two-story family room with two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, which was fantastic for our foursome. The beds for our grown-up children were setup as a full bed, and within minutes the housekeeper came and split them into two twin beds; she was mesmerized when we tipped her -- clearly a different tipping culture. The location is unbeatable. It's the last structure before the marshes start. It's a quick walk to the Mont or if one is more inclined to using the free bus, the stop is right outside the hotel. Being able to drive the car right up to the hotel was a great plus. This means that you can walk back to the Mont after dinner and take pictures when the hordes of barbarians have left the the Mont. It was unforgettable to walk the ancient roads in the dark when no one was around. There's no a/c in the room - had we arrived during the heatwave, it would have been hard. It was cool when we were there, so not a problem. Also, the upstairs bedroom's windows don't open, so it wouldn't have been possible to create a breeze. There as an oscillating fan, which helped. We had a room with a view of the the Mont; however, there's a big thicket in the marshes between the hotel and the Mont that somewhat hides the view. We didn't spend that much time in the room, so not a problem. WiFi in the room was weak and spotty. It seems to be a common issue in France.

Location is tough to beat Dirty, terrible food, no air conditioning, reception does not respond to emails.

Le Relais Saint Michel enjoys an exceptional location with one of the most breathtaking views of Mont Saint-Michel. Waking up to such an iconic panorama was truly unforgettable and easily the highlight of our stay. The room itself was comfortable but felt a little dated and could benefit from some modernization. We visited during the recent European heatwave, and the room became quite warm. Being able to open the windows helped, but mosquito screens would have made a big difference and allowed fresh air in more comfortably.

The incredible view! The lack of air conditioning or fan made the room very stuffy in the hot weather.

The location is perfect. It was hard to get into the restricted area where the hotel was located. The hotel needs to provide parking instruction when the booking is confirmed. We were left at the gate holding up cars behind because we just didnt know what to do. When u call the “info” from the gate, the person just hangs up if u dont speak French. It was extremely unwelcoming. They need to get better staffing and clear instruction to guests. It was extremely annoying because the staff just didnt seem to care that the guests suffered inconvenience that way.

Proximity to Mont Saint Michel, clean. The room had a partial view of Mont Saint Michel which was not on the description. This was misleading Also should have windows screen in the room for flies.

Proximity to Le Mont St Michel and the views. Good parking. Helpful staff. No air con. Lots of flies. Lots of noisy coach tours. Bit shabby.

Huge bedroom, great bathtub, beautiful view. Three course dinner included, great breakfast spread. Easy parking. Recommend 100%.
