I really enjoyed my stay at The George! The staff was accommodating, the room was luxurious, parking was easy, and it was a great mini vacation. It was a great way to stay nearby MetLife Stadium for both days of BTS shows--maybe 15/20 mins from the venue. Totally recommend this hotel! Lots of snacks, lovely breakfast, and most importantly: VERY COMFORTABLE.

Everything was great. I arrived late in the evening and had to look for the front desk person, but they were very helpful. And I left early in the am so I really had very little interaction with staff. Hotel is beautiful, so unique and my room was perfect with all I needed! Highly recommend!!!

What a great concept, to have a snack bar/ wall. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, love that each room is named after a person. Also, Central enough to everything in town

This inn has a nice historic look on the outside and the lobby and main stairs are beautiful, yet the renovation that turned this historic home into an inn did not do a great job with matching the details throughout. We got a Signature King room, expecting high ceilings and beautiful windows (as shown in pictures online) and instead got a lower level room with low ceilings, and basement style windows with shutters that needed to be closed for privacy (an outdoor security camera could be seen from the bed). Overall, we were not impressed, and felt our room was way overpriced.

Such a beautiful and fun place to stay! We were pleasantly surprised again and again with different fun details like the candy closet, etc. The breakfast was amazing! The staff were super kind and friendly! Would love to stay here again!!!

The hotel was unique. It felt like you were staying in a relative’s mansion. The location was terrific. We could walk to downtown Montclair easily.

Why not have bedside lights that are bright enough for reading? And a telephone in the room that connects with the main desk?

Very nice boutique hotel located in a quiet area of Montclair. The staff is super friendly and goes the extra mile to be helpful (I have left behind an AirPod - they found it and shipped it to my home). The design makes the place one-of-a-kind. The whole property is clean and well-maintained. I gave it an overall 4 stars because of a few small things that, in my view, the management should address to make the customer experience truly remarkable: the bathroom door in our room (Martha) is in bad need of some WD-40, the room above us needs better insulation or a rug on the floor - we had someone up there going to the bathroom every hour or so throughout the night wearing heavy shoes/boots, the breakfast was missing still water and - a small suggestion: upgrade the coffee machine to a Jura - it will go very weel with the gourmet food that you are serving. Despite the small inconveniences described above, we would highly recommend The George!
