Nice modern room value for money, perfect location, staff was friendly and available. Nice breakfast. The water in the shower was either too cold or too hot, what a dissapointment!

Spacious room, comfortable bed, helpful front desk staff, good breakfast. Masculine fragranced toiletries (i.e. shower gel) - should be more neutral smelling. We could hear toilet flushing (from top floor) in the bedroom.

First, receptionist staff was rude and unwelcoming, then she gave us a wrong basic room where we've booked for a Deluxe with balcony which forced us to come down again to get it right. She then gave us a new room in a dependance throwing us thr keys and a code which wasn't in the hotel itself but nothing was stated as such when booking ?! Moreover, her attitude was a problem but it was only a start ... We've entered the new room to find out that the aircon remote control wasn't there so I crossed the road again to let her know that I would need the said remote. Then she said that I cannot have it and she'll eventually come up to explain why ?!! So I 'very decided for the first time in more than 15 years to call Booking.com's client service to let her know and we needed 3 different calls to sort out the problem while the first receptionist vanished without a word of apologies and the other receptionist gave us three different remotes, the first two weren't suitable but have been supplied wrongly on purpose ! Finally, a so-called technician came to fix the issue who wasn't a technician but one of the staff. Let alone this person hanging up over the phone and all the tissue of lies which is just the way to treat customers or deal with them ! To avoid ... Otherwise, breakfast was average but nothing special and no completary water as stated⁸

The location. Staff was friendly . Breakfast was good. Room too small lacking of any atmosphere. No kettle , coffe or tea in the room . When asked for cups , we were given 2 cardboard cups and a plastic spatula. Room didn't look like any of the pictures advertised. Also , no double glazing . Noisy in the morning. Beds were ok . Not a fan of memory foam mattress. Bathroom toilet seat was wonky and the tap on the sink was lose.

First of all, I highly recommend staying in the main building of the newly renovated hotel. Unfortunately, the old building is quite uncomfortable. I made the mistake of staying one night in the old building, where the air conditioning didn’t work. During my October stay, I found the room very cold. Even though they brought a blanket, it wasn’t enough to keep me warm. The next day, I arranged to stay in the main building. The rooms here are very well-designed, and the air conditioning worked, providing a comfortable warmth. The breakfast is excellent, with a wide variety of options and more than enough of everything. We had a minor misunderstanding regarding the payment, but we resolved it later via email. I appreciate the hotel’s understanding and assistance in this matter. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located close to the train station, about 500 meters away, so the distance is not too far at all. In my opinion, instead of staying in Florence, you could stay in Montecatini, which is definitely more affordable, and easily reach everywhere by train. I must say that I really did not like the old building. It should definitely be renovated and updated as soon as possible.
