Our bathroom light was flashing, the cream tube looked like it had been used by another guest, the sliding door fell off its hinger with the first slide, the pot did not work and needed to be replaced. We were just uncomfortable and think the Monterey Inn should not have stars at all.

What I like about the property is that it’s on the beach. What I DID NOT like about the property was that it is $500 a night with no microwave I say that because it’s a tourist town & we eat out with leftovers no way to heat them up, the “breakfast” was well Novato be desired, and it felt more like a motel.

Perfect location for exploring Monterey. Nice staff, clean property and having a balcony to sit and view the harbor is special.

Breakfast was o.k. I wish other guests weren't smoking weed in rooms and on premises, which affected all guests. Hot tubs were either not working or smelled. Our bathroom had dirt built up around corners toilet and tub areas.

Staff was very welcoming and the location was very close to all attractions. My favorite was the hot tub and view! Nothing! The facility met all of our expectations!

Decent location for Cannery Row Poor breakfast - not sure why they bother offering it really. No plant based options. Poor noise isolation, you can hear every step the people in the room above you make. Parking costs $25 per night, it wasn’t obvious when I booked the hotel. Overall the value for money is not good.

Nice waterfront hotel and made for convenient base camp to Monterey, Carmel/Pebble etc. Staff is very good. Property is a little tired inside and out but would stay again.
