La Galerie Hotel Old Montreal, Sonder

I stayed on the street with my luggage for 30 minutes till I was able to call someone and help (as there is no staff onsite). She was very helpful, but it wasn't a great experience after a long flight to wait to half an hour before I can get into my room. Thanks,

A little noisy, but the street below our room was being replaced.

We were given a code to access building and our room 24 hrs prior to our stay. There was no staff or service, it was our first time to experience this but it all works well. Lots of restaurants to choose from and terminal for cruise ship all within a very short walking distance. Perfect location. Would highly recommend. Enjoyable experience,

It was my first time using Sonder. Overall, it was nice, reasonable price and comfortable room. I wish my room had a desk to do some work.

Really like because the hotel was in fact in Old Montreal, the Notre Dame basilica was only two blocks from the hotel excellent for walk to the water and easy walking to dinner

The casting was less than successful ! The independent check in went very smooth . Loved the location

Noises at night

No contact with any staff at all as all access via door codes, so cannot judge - it would be useful though to let international travellers know that there is no (daily) housekeeping in Canada when staying more than 1 night - especially as I had to mop the bathroom floor with the towel mat (with no spare dry one after that) after showering on my arrival the 1st day due to lack of a door to close cubicle space and tricky dual shower heads (took a bit of time to figure out how to use one or the other, some instructions would help) that splashed water into half of the bathroom including shelf, with floor next to shower "flooded". Also, a chair in the bedroom would be nice.

Nice clean property. Decent price for such a good location, Easy access to parking. I'd stay there again.

Great location. Property in excellent condition and very comfortable and clean. We had an issue where the door didn’t lock. Contacted management on the Sonder app at about 5pm. Felt like I was talking to a chat bot getting nowhere. We had a dinner engagement so decided to risk going out with the door unlocked as the building was secure and there was a camera in the passage outside the lift. After dinner contacted them again on the app. This time we got a real human and they fixed the electronic lock remotely. So it’s a lovely hotel, but if you have an issue there is no-one onsite to help and you will need to be patient to get it sorted.

There was no sound proof. We could hear the couple next door like they were in our room. The walls are paper thin

We had a wonderful stay at Sonder! Check in and check out was quick, convenient and flexible via the app. The room was spacious, clean and had a lovely view of the charming street. We appreciated the included sound machine in the room. Coming from NYC, we are used to city sounds; however, if you are a light sleeper, it may be a bit loud, but it was more than okay for us! We would happily stay here again and loved its central location.

Cute hotel right in the heart of the action in Old Montreal. We could walk easily to coffee shops, the metro, the port and Notre Dame. Very comfortable room and appreciated the ear plugs and white noise machine for sleeping. We would stay again.

Self-serve, and non responsive customer support. Clean spacious room. Check-in/out times are strict and you must pay extra for any adjustments

Very convenient for Old Montreal activities. Walking distance to everything. The room was a bit small, but clean and comfortable.
