Ascot Suites

This hotel is a great location and has potential of being a great property. The downfall of this property is the cleanliness. Upon arrival lobby is nice and clean when you arrive in the elevator to go up to your room you start noticing how dirty the property is. Upon arrival going up in the elevator, the door of the elevator and the numbers are covered and fingerprints and dirtiness. When you get out of the elevator, all the hallways are dirty of stains. The carpets need to be clean big time. When you arrive into the room, hopefully you’ll have a clean room. My first room I checked in the room was super dirty looked like it didn’t get cleaned in between guest. The TV did not work. So they moved me to a different room room was much cleaner TV worked, but they did have to switch TV out because the TV did not work. Upon getting into the shower, noticed there was a bunch of guest hair all over the shower and on the curtain. The curtain had mold all over it. Reached out to front desk and they moved me into a suite. The suite was much cleaner, but once again you noticed the detail of cleaning was not great.

The room was clean, except the balcony needs to be cleaned. The carpets in the halls need to be shampooed badly and the elevator needs to be wiped down. The staff are great. Very friendly. Something not right about the shower valve. Had a hard time getting in the right spot to get good flow out of the shower head. Also, hard to maintain temperature also.

The whole experience was very unpleasant. The hotel needed much repair and needs some serious attention. The hallway rugs were worn and dirty. Our room was tattered and the furniture was old and ripped. The chair in our room literally had big holes in it with the stuffing showing. We went to bed and we heard drip drip. My husband got up and stepped into a puddle of water where the air conditioner in our bedroom was dripping. He had to get a trash can and towel to stop it so we could sleep. One of the supposed amenities was rooftop relaxing. It was so filled with seagull droppings you couldn't even lean up against the rail. It should be power washed every day...or at least every week. I paid extra for a suite as I wake up early and my husband sleeps in. There was no TV in the suite part so I may as well have stayed in the room with him and not paid for the extra charge of a suite. I also had bites all over my feet and legs. I only could assume it was bedbugs. When we checked out we told the girl at the desk...which by-the-way is run by young girls who said they weren't 21 yet...and told her about the air conditioner. She didn't apologize. Just said thanks for telling us. We should have demanded our money back but we were so ready to get out of there. PS..our friends stayed in another room and it smelled so much like propane they had to change rooms.

Everything! The staff was the best. So friendly and helpful. From the front desk down to the housekeeping staff. Sadly the balcony was always dirty with pigeon poop! Not able to utilize it or the 4 th floor area.

The A/C is not working properly. I can’t feel it even we set up the temperature between 62 to 65 degrees. The room is provided with electric fans which is obviously explained the problem. Didn’t complain.

Great view from rooftop lounge, free wine and snacks in the evening, free breakfast options was excellent, 2 blocks from Embarcadero, staff was very friendly and clean location overall. I wouldn't change a thing. Definitely a good to when booking a room.

Location was fantastic! Walking distance to groceries and to the waterfront. Hotel was sweet little boutique style, room was large and bed was comfy. Unfortunately we had a room with zero view. It seemed almost like we had the only room without any view. The gym was not really functional if you’re into doing a full workout and it smelled gross.

They offered snacks and breakfast was decent Called front desk about my tv and they came to fix it. Tv was old and super slow. Also patio furniture was dirty as well as the seating in the room was dirty and not cleaned . The charge outlet was not working. And spider webs near seating area in room. Also lazy on the soap, we were given another soap from another room but not refill in our soap dispenser. The top roof was dirty seats and bird poop every where. Not cleaned daily knowing seagulls are there everyday.

Ascot Suites offers a very clean, pleasant stay with exceptional staff and varied breakfast options for guests. The hotel is a little outdated, some areas like the hallway carpets are warn and stained and rooftop furniture needs to be cleaned.

After a very stressful experience with another hotel that was unable to honor my reservation, I ended up booking a room at Ascot Suites Morro Bay at the last minute - and I couldn't have been more grateful. From the moment I arrived, I was met with kindness, understanding, and genuine hospitality. The staff welcomed me with positivity and made what had been a terrible day so much better. They turned an incredibly stressful situation into a wonderful stay. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and had great amenities. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and every staff member I interacted with was friendly and helpful. As someone who has managed hotels for many years and travels frequently, I know how much great customer service matters. The team at Ascot Suites truly went above and beyond, and I'm so thankful I found them. If you're staying in Morro Bay, I highly recommend this hotel! I wish I could stay there longer!

The family and I had a blast. Room was clean. Staff was very nice and helpful. Location was nice near shopping centers and restaurants. Would definitely book this place again.
