We would definitely stay here again. Liked that a shuttle was available to take us into Charleston. Driver was very helpful. Within walking distance to the Yorktown.
-
Great place to stay, close by food and great view.
-
well maintained cud have been better if had fridge or micro wave oven
-
Gorgeous resort, love the location and views.

This is a great place to stay if you want to avoid all the traffic but still enjoy Charleston. The shuttle bus down town made it so easy to get back and forth. The pool was beautiful.

Our room was not updated, but a little disappointed when my husband spilled some water and I took a towel to dry it off and it came out black. Floor was filthy. The room itself was tiny, hard to maneuver. I told them my husband was handicapped and we paid for a room upgrade. Not so much. We had been driving for 8 hours and just wanted to get a bite to eat so went to the bar restaurant. I asked for a medium rare burger and it was cooked dry. Also the bartenders said not to eat there for breakfast and recommended a horrible restaurant down the street. It definitely could have been a better experience. Everyone was very nice. But if you want to get a taste of Charleston, this is not the place.

I booked through Expedia and feel i was mislead on my total cost. In addition to my booking I was charged an additional 47.36 EACH DAY for an amenity fee. Thats almost 200 more dollars total. The resort however was excellent. Just surprised at the extra cost.

Poor condition of rooms, ended our stay early as a result. Broken sink faucet, remote and table. Poorly maintained room, will never stay here again.

This property needs a full renovation. My room was very out dated and dirty; floors, walls, balcony, bathroom. I was so uncomfortable that I booked and paid for 2 nights but left a day early and the property would not reimburse me for the 2nd night. I would not recommend this “resort”.

The bathroom, in particular is very much out of date. The on-site bar was frequently closed while external groups were hosted. When we did get to have a drink there, the food we ordered took 55 minutes to arrive and was then cold.

Was a very relaxing pleasant stay

Lots of hidden fees,,,, $40 per day whether you use any amenities or not. $25 fee for taking a pool towel to my room. Breakfast buffet was very expensive and very poor quality.

The hotel is a gem! We loved every minute of this gorgeous resort!

The grounds were wonderful and staff members were helpful and nice. Excellent coffee machine in the lobby. Very convenient location for the water taxi. The rooftop bar at sunset it a must to for you! Other than the room view, and lots of construction/remodeling debris near one of the end exit stairwells we tried to exit, it as a good stay. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the amenities.

Staff was excellent
-
Absolutely Beautiful place with beautiful pools, clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff.
-
There are two buildings to choose from, one being quite a bit, newer and fancier. The staff was amazing. Everyone was so friendly. The pool areas were awesome! Their shuttle service to downtown Charleston was wonderful yet it would be nice to be able to shuttle elsewhere near the hotel.

Resort is 10/10 for location and the Reel Bar is great. You CANNOT beat this location- that being said, after 12 years of staying here at least once a year, guest services and welcoming is significantly less. Tvs in rooms are from 90s lol---picture quality is hilarious. Bathrooms need serious upgrades- missing grout, broken water nozzles... They also shut the pools and hot tubs down by 9pm which is very frustrating for anyone hoping for some r and r after a day in Charleston or post dinner with a nightcap etc. The best time on this property for enjoying sights/sounds is the eve/night and a 9pm shut it down time is crazy. They also used to be much better about actually having fire pits running in evenings- now you have to request them and then hope someone shows up to light them. Multiple little things that used to be heavily on display-- resort activities, smores, ice cream, possibly still avail but you have to know to ask for them and they make you feel like a bother when you do. It's just sad. Again though-- those views.
