Rooms are small but clean and provide you with everything you need for a short stay. It is very good value for the money; reminded me of Japanese business hotels. If you have large luggages there might not be enough space to comfortably handle them. Rooms could be just a tiny bit bigger.

Location was amazing - next to train station and lots of food around but also great soundproofing to outside. Shower was great. Window ledge was also nice and the room got good sun. Toilet was a bit small and the price of the bottles of water at reception were a bit excessive

Design room Very poor service and communication We made a request for a baby cot 20 days before our arrival. However, on the day of our arrival, when it was too late to cancel our booking, I received an email informing me that they could not fit a baby cot in our room and that we would have to pay extra for alternative accommodation for our baby ( email that i only red on the afternoon). When we finally arrived at the reception in the afternoon, the receptionist kept saying that it was a Booking.com issue and that it was not the hotel’s fault. We were also told that there was no housekeeping team available to install a baby cot. At the end of the day, I don’t really care whether the issue came from Booking.com or the hotel. We simply expected the hotel to find a solution for us that afternoon, especially since we had made the request 20 days in advance. This was a very disappointing experience, especially when travelling with a baby.

The Werksviertel has lots of nice little places to eat and grab coffee, and some nightlife (a rooftop bar) in the evening too. It can be a bit noisy at night, but the windows in this hotel are really great & soundproof. It's a bit of a walk from the trainstation (and not super easy to find when you are in the train station - but overall, very accessible and well connected.
