Holiday Inn Munich- Westpark by IHG

The staff were friendly and professional. The reception service can be too slow at times even when there were more than one staff at the front desk, only one is helping out. Bed was a little uncomfortable.

Room was quite okay and breakfast was good. However, the carpet in the room and corridor had a damp smell and looked like it wasn’t regularly shampooed or vacuumed. We are a couple, so we requested a double bed instead of a twin bed, but it was not provided.

We were told during the check-in that we're lucky to get a room in the renovated part of the building. I don't have comparison with the rest of the building, but our room was great - quiet, clean, well equipped. The staff everywhere was incredible - at the reception, at the lounge, in the breakfast restaurant. Whatever we needed, nothing was a problem. We travelled with a toddler (two years), so appreciated the kids' area in the breakfast restaurant. The only unpleasant surprise was when we found out there is no dining restaurant as I understood from the web pages there was one. On the other hand, you're welcome to bring take-away into the lounge and enjoy your dinner at the terrace there. Plus there are many restaurants in the surroundings (Vietnamese, Chinese, Italian, German Biergarten, etc.). Also, there is DM, Lidl, various bakeries, small groceries and many other small shops in the surroundings. Public transport S7 and U6 are just 5 minutes away from the hotel (walking).

Location was ok Air conditioning was terrible .. we had two nights of the AC only going down to 24c .. we complained several times but nothing happened .. other residents said their Air Conditioning was the same ( rubbish ) 3 plug sockets didn’t work .. hair dryer didn’t work at all .. and no fridge ..

i liked it. i booked a room with refrigator, there was no refrigator. I've been told that rooms have it no longer but i havent been notified of this and have been offered to put my things onto staff's refrigator. It made me change my plans.

It was silent and comfortable, i liked it. If you plan to take room service because of hours: there are no big varied options at all and room service wants you to pay extra to deliver the food to your room

Located close to the train station and plenty of little shops around. Hotel didnt seem very clean. Breakfast very average.

Тhe location, the breakfast, the pillows, the bathroom, the overall building Extremely uncomfortable topper for the one bed (kids bed, the other two adult beds were comfortable) The kids bed wasn’t healthy to sleep on, my kid got back problems after sleeping. The fridge didn’t work and we had to drink our water warm instead of cold. After we complained respectfully, we changed the room. The kids bed was the same , uncomfortable and springs came out of the bed, same low quality, atleast the fridge worked this time. After we complained, the staff also got very disrespectful and uninterested in our problems. They didn’t gave a sh*t at all. The ,,big” compensation we were granted of was 5 small drinks and a snickers.

Well, a good hotel, comfortable and with a good breakfast, but we had a situation that remained unsolved. From the first night, a little pocket with jewelry had disappeared from our room. We notified the reception of the hotel but in the next 3 days of our stay, they offered only one solution: call the police. We couldn't do that because we had to continue our vacation and leave; any police investigation would have required us to spend more time there. Anyway, the loss is ours; next time we will use the safe box. So, a nice hotel, close to local transportation and comfy rooms.

The staff we checked in with was super helpful and kind. And the suite we checked into was comfortable and tidy. The location of the hotel is far from the center but very easy to get to with public transportation. The majority of the staff were very helpful with the issues we had (mentioned below). Unfortunately, the second evening we saw ants in our room and when we requested cleaning for it the next day we were first asked if we had left food outside, which we hadn't but also we shouldn't have been accused like that. When we got back to the room the room was tidied but the ants were still there. So, at night our 3rd friend had to ask for a different room (luckily there was an available room and the hotel kindly checked her in that room) and the next day we all moved to a new suite but of course it cost us to lose almost the whole day re-packing.
