The breakfast hit home! ( staff Excellent!)

Overall a good stay. Alot of parking onsite. The buildings for the rooms are separated, but didn’t hinder. Breakfast was busy even at times it said it would be “light traffic”. Just be prepared for it to be busy and trouble getting a seat, however staff did great to keep stocked. Room was comfortable. There were about 6 different pools to choose from, my family loved lazy river. Beach access is great.

Second, the place is dated, smelly and unclean for most part. There was no trace of vacuum cleaning in the elevators throughout our stay. There is a stale musty smell all through the property. The rooms have ancient carpets that smell too. Third, the included breakfast is unappetizing if you care for fresh food - potatoes tasted like something fried in stale oil, scramble was made of powder egg. The boiled eggs looked like the packed kinds. Only decent appeal was the waffle station. It was so bad, we did not go back after day 1. The bed was ok with clean cotton sheets though super old linens and blankets - desperate for a change. Towels were surprisingly soft and white in contrast to bet linens - which was a nice surprise. Pools were ok but need refresher. Bar food and drinks stood as very good amidst all the disappointing experience. We checked out one full day ahead of our departure and got 0 refund - told Expedia already got our waiver signed with disclaimer on construction. both Expedia and Dayton disappointed us.

We enjoyed the location of the property as well as our room. Breakfast was great with plenty of options.

The hotel staff was amazing our experience was amazing. Housekeeping was very pleasant. Only thing was breakfast was a little hectic trying to get your food and find a seat wasn’t enough room for all the residents staying at all 3 buildings but I would still Highly recommended staying at the Dayton House resort

The air conditioner on the balcony was hanging half off, paint was chipped off everywhere, the skirting on the bed was all ripped up. I immediately asked for a different room and was told no even though the vacancy sign was on. I was placed right next to construction trucks that were very loud. It was a real bad experience.

Great stay definitely recommend going stay here every time I stay in Myrtle beach!

Very nice place, the only things that I don't like is the pool looks dirty. Overall very good.

My husband and I both had mixed reviews on the hotel. It was absolutely immaculate in the room. However there were no towel racks whatsoever in the bathroom to hang up anything wet. So we were just folding things looking for furniture to drape things over to dry. But the room was very nice in itself. As for the view, if you look to the right, it was great. If you look to the left you see a huge crane working on a rusted out project that they're working on. It extends a couple hundred feet out into the ocean so my husband just kept saying " just don't look that way!" As far as the outside there were four buildings. A laundry is only in one, so you would have had to carry a laundry basket outside onto the street into another building to do your laundry. That was nuts. No air conditioning whatsoever in the hallways. The elevator was suffocating. no air exchange fan or coolness whatsoever. There were only two elevators and one was out of order so you had to wait forever to get up or down. I literally almost passed out at one point in the elevator. Could not breathe.. The food was good. No problems there for the breakfast. For such a big hotel room. It would have been nice if they had double sinks instead of just one. Also there was literally no lobby in the reception area to speak of. They only had four chairs where you could sit down. Waiting for your turn to check in or out. No complimentary refreshments offered. The staff was great. Husband loved it.

Hotel during construction causes issues getting from side to another. But overall for the price it’s great.

The room was great, bedroom with a living room and the kitchen completely redone and well equipped. The only problem was the noise caused by air conditioning from the neighbors, and there was also a smell of mold.

The hotel was ok but, we don't see they clean any time the corridor, they never expalin the work the tow is doing on the water in front of hotel, the coffee is ok.

It was a nice place to stay! We never got enjoy the rose room for breakfast because no matter what time we went it was super crowded and there was no seating. But other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

arrived at 10 in the morning did not get our room until 630 that night they put us in a room across the street our view on the balcony were two big dumpsters and men working when it was supposed to be a room looking at the ocean worst hotel I have stayed in. I’m sure other rooms are OK but my room was the worst. I did not like my view. they did not change bedsheets for the 5 days that I was there
