Staff was great. Beach view. And Alley abs Travis are the best bartenders there ever. Felt safe

The front desk staff were kind but very slow with the amount of people cycling in and out could have definitely used more staff for their turn over process. Extended wait times for rooms to be ready. They also don't have enough lobby space for the overflow of people that were waiting. Rooms were okay for sleeping. Overall staff was kind and ready to help when able. But, the hotel could use much needed improvements. I would spend a little more money elsewhere next time.

I chose the reserve now and pay later option however, when I got to the hotel, my reservation was canceled,The property tried to charge me before I got there and when the payment didn’t go through, they canceled my reservation. Other than that the pool was great. The beach was amazing.

If we are being honest for other people wanting to stay it all depends what your going for the rooms are definitely well maintained and excellent views if you get ocean view suite like we had . Do not try to check in early it is a hard task to accomplish, no ice machines on north tower or south tower only in main hotel. The pool area is very nice with a great selection of inexpensive 16 oz alcoholic drinks the bartender was amazing! The restaurant in south tower does not have a huge selection of food for dinner and give the food a 7/10 do not opt in for breakfast option to expensive i recommend going to hot stacks pancake house on kings highway we ate there 3 days in a row for breakfast there a 10/10 for food on taste and budget !!! Other than that overall experience at Shelby I would say is 3.5 or 4 star hotel!! Price for 3 nights is very affordable

Overall perfect.

No complaints at all. This property is beautifully renovated and clean. Staff is hospitable. It is within walking distance to many bar & grill restaurants, grocery store, shopping, the boardwalk, etc.

Staff friendly the rooms were clean however , a little touch up of painting would be great. I enjoyed my stay the only downside is that for purchases you either charge to your room or card . They do not accept cash “.

I love to decor and the location!! I also love the free water bottles. The pool was a great touch as well. My bathroom did not have a shower curtain, the restaurant was okay but very cute decor!!

Great stay

Being steps from the beach & the ocean view Check in process was horrible, line wrapped around lobby Bedding on bed was terribly stained, I removed bedding & continuously called front desk to request fresh bedding call wasn’t answered, had to walk back to front desk only to have to stand in another long line just to ask for new bedding. Bathroom towels had black stains as well, had to go to the front desk lobby just to use the microwave.

DON'T BOOK HERE, AND THIS IS COMING FROM SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T LIKE TO COMPLAIN!!! The lady at check in was so rude and not welcoming at all, she had the worse attitude ever! Check in was soooooo slow took a couple of hours! No ice machine in the building, no microwave. They never brought towels or bathrags no matter how many times you called! Rooms are outdated. Allie who worked the outside bar was amazing!

Great views! No microwave in your room,but its one in the lobby you can use.

I liked the bar at the pool. I think everyone room should have an iron and board. I called the front desk multiple times and never got ahold of anyone to get an iron. I used the steamer in the room but it would have been easier just to have an iron and board.
