Palms by the Beach Motel

The staff were very friendly despite the issues that we had. Being across the street from the beach was great. Unfortunately, that’s the best I can say. We did not feel safe. There were clearly activities going on on property that makes a single mom and kid not feel safe. A resident they tried to get me to spend time with him in his room and another one looked at my four year-old daughter in a way that no grown man ever should. I understand that that’s what you get staying in a budget type place but if we had anywhere else to go, we would have left. Unfortunately, that was not an option. Also, the first room that we were put in, had a German roach. Both rooms had dead, Palmetto bugs which is understandable considering the proximity to the beach, but a German roach is not something I could deal with. Rooms did appear like they had been cleaned decently although grout in the showers was pretty disgusting. But as far as regular cleans, it seemed good and that’s coming from someone who cleans for a living. I do want to say that the staff was very quick in getting us moved to another room and they were very helpful, as helpful as they could be. The lady at the front desk also said that she was having pest control come in first thing Monday morning. But just the overall environment and the fact that there was a German roach makes it to where we can’t recommend this property to anyone else unfortunately. That being said, I don’t blame the staff at all for what happened. I think they truly are trying their best, German roaches are something that are nearly impossible to get rid of once you have them.

Not too much Didn’t receive proper service for my room

It was right near the beach, it was quite, cozy and a great value. The air conditioner had a smell when you cut the temp up.

Staff was amazing and the location was perfect not a far walk to the beach. Lack of toiletries. Toilet seat looked like someone put out their cigarette on it.

I had a terrible experience staying here. Room 202 had a very strong, unpleasant odor. The blankets and bedcovers were unclean and uncomfortable to use. Unfortunately, the smell was so bad that it clung to all of our clothes. I highly recommend avoiding this hotel.

This is a nice getaway for locals to get away from their everyday hustle and bustle. No bells and whistles but a clean bed, cold room and hot shower. Number 1 I haven't got my deposit back yet and it's been almost a week. They will not answer the phone number that's on Google. They respond with a text if you get a response at all. Edit- August 6, 2026- still no deposit. Staff is no help will not answer call or text. Just be prepared to pay 100.00 extra, because you don't get your deposit back. Number 2 My fiance and I were laying in bed asleep around 2am and our door swings open and the front desk lady walks in, says sorry. And walks out! Number 3 the listing online says "beachfront", it is most definitely not beachfront. It's on ocean Blvd just on the other side of the road.

The property was very ill kept. Rooms baseboards and corners were filthy. Shower curtain hadn’t been changed and was filthy. The hotel provides no towels or soaps shampoos etc. there was a lot of noise all night long and the pool was full of dead bugs and leaves. There was no one in the office for check in and per a not hung on the door was given a cellphone number to call for someone to come. Would not recommend.

Loved that it was across from the ocean, close to grocery store! Wasn't clean, walked in sand on beds, sand on floor, hair and soap marks in the shower!! Lots of "late night activies" going on between the hotel & next door hotel. I am an airbnb cleaner & this was far from my expectations of a clean room.

The room was ok for the price. No amenities. The water didn’t get hot and the WiFi didn’t work. Couldn’t watch tv.

The rooms was not clean our spread had stains everywhere. They have no house keeping so how are things getting sanitized. I will never book again.

Location and price I could not ever reach anyone that worked there after check in. Left countless messages, no return call. Bugs in the room. No one to complain to

No towels , and no internet while we stayed there until Monday them there was internet.

The TV didn’t work and they didn’t have towels or soap in the room

The rooms were ok The pool area was dirty when I arrived. Asked them to clean it and they did. I had a double room air conditioner was in back and didn’t reach front room. The tv didn’t work.

Nothing Had no towels or wash clothes the whole time had to go buy them only tiny bit of toilet paper when I booked it’s says beach front it’s not no one is at the motel they leave at 10 at night and not back until lunch the next day.

Had roaches, bedroom smelled like cigarettes, floors were not mopped. I could go on.
