The Virginian Motel

Nothing. Didn't stay They were overbooked, and sent us to their "sister hotel" before going over we showed them that a deposit was not required for our stay. They said ok, highlighted the text and "called over" to confirm. When we got to the sister hotel, we had to wait for check-in, then when it was time, they demanded a deposit. I showed them the reservation and they still demanded a deposit. The outside needed update, never saw the inside and there was a shirtless guy sweeping the place.

The hotel is across the street from the beach. Depends on your placement you can look right out to the water. Our room was on the fourth floor and we was able to look right out beautiful view. The manager was a very sweet lady. Very inexpensive for a good overnight trip. The lobby had snack for sale. The houseman was funny enjoyed talking to him. He was definitely keeping the walk ways clean. The beds was clean and the towels was nice and white, even though we had our own. Shower was exactly the pressure you expect for the beach. There was no over head light in our room. A lamp would be a great addition to the room. Although the down side the tv service did not work you will need a fire stick if you want to watch tv. And they do not have an elevator so if you do not like steps this will not be friendly for you. I recommend they clean the stairwell with peroxide to get rid of the smells. Overall I would recommend.

We got there our room wasn’t clean,food everywhere beds not made looked like someone just got up out the beds…we had to stand outside the room with all our stuff while the half ass clean the room,bed rails broke while my daughter was in the bed sleep smh yea we won’t do this stay ever again… Everything

Not one thing The false advertisement, the management office stinks smells like eggs and mildew, the outside of this hotel is old and run down. Not to mention of the all the unsanitary conditions and people

There was no towels, and when we asked for some, they were in the wash and we couldn't get any til the morning. There was no toilet paper or complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. There was stains on some of the linen on the pillow cases and sheets. The room above us had an issue with the air conditioner so it was leaking into our room through the ceiling. Would not recommend staying at all.

No trash can in room, one washcloth, no tv due to we wasn’t given the Wi-Fi password to connect to the same Wi-Fi that the tv was on to be able to connect to the tv remote.

The room and price

Honestly, the only thing I like about this property is how it’s close to the beach It smelt like cigarettes, the entire place was disgustingly dirty (sheets had stains on it, mattress had stains on it, etc), the first room they tried giving us didn’t even have sheets on it, there was a machine in the bathroom, and the toilet wasn’t even flushed. When it was time to check out, instead of getting our deposit back and leaving, we were told we had to leave and come back in an hour or so to get the deposit back even though checkout was at 11am.

Great location Rooms are a little old

And they have a restaurant in back and food is delicious

Within walking distance of the beach It was not very clean, there was no trash cans in the room. The AC did not work. The Wi-Fi sucked. It was roaches in the room. They only allow one roll of toilet paper a day a dollar roll at that. I was given floor towels and not regular towels.
