This was a late booking. Check in was approved for 11pm to 12am I’ve arrived 10 min before midnight but office was closed and I wasn’t able to check in. This was a late booking. Nothing at all.. Everything. Especially the MOLD.. I’m still fighting for a refund.. just be careful when booking…

That i didn't stay there We scheduled our arrival on booking.com. when we got there, no one was at the counter, we called the number several times. The doors were locked to the office, understand because it was early in the morning, approximately 1 am. We had to ride around until about 4am to find a room. After we drove 10 hours to get there. Finally found a room with one bed although we had a family of 4.

The Virginian Motel is breathtaking, not in a good way. The hotel looks nothing like the images online. Disappointed is not the word I'd use to describe here more so inhumane. The lady at the front desk and location are the ONLY positively good things you will find here. It is with heavy heart when I say this establishment needs to be shut down expeditiously! Upon arrival, the building from the outside looks not only out dated, but also unsafe scary. We traveled from another state with a 1 year old and a 4 month old and reserved their last spot. room on the 4th floor(stairs only on the back of the building). At checkin, they require $100 cash deposit for damages ( Laughable). We get our room keys, and the stench of urine that lingers the stairwell is STRONG. The room next to ours have 3 CAMERAS in the window along the top and mid window (capturing images and video of our our kids ) and a hand written enter at your own risk sign on the door. Over looking al the red flags because it's just the outside, maybe the rooms shade a better light on the Virginian name. NO! Matter of fact, there is no light in the room, only an unplugged lamp sitting in the middle of the floor with NO LAMP shade. A hand sized hole in the wall, murky brown paint on the wall and broken microwave that dont work, stacked on an uncleaned mini fridge. On the only small 3 foot end table that held a broken apart smoke detector with no batteries inside, 6 towels no floor mat included (ANY extra towels(floormat)are $15)The gut wrenching smell of cigarettes in our labeled and reserved (with no refund) NON SMOKING room. The beds listed as 2 queens are full Xl with no blankets and 1 pillow on each bed. After finding 2 bugs on the bed that we couldn't identify, we checked on Google, and it was a bug in the larvae state that eats fabric and is harmless to people. I go to ask for a new room or refund and get a heartfelt apology with neither only a can of airfreshner. Unclean, unsafe, broken everything not welcoming it was like staying in a room where they stored things they didn't need and had to make space for guest and quickly moved everything but didnt gwt the chance to clean or prepare the smoke smell in the room never went away but lessened when the air was off please I dont know how they havent been hit with citations. As if they only checked a few rooms and not all for inspection. I was so taken back by the room I didnt get to take pictures. The photos I do have i showed to the front office so they can see the damages that was before checkin ( for deposit return)

The only thing we enjoyed about the property was the last minute availability We booked for the virginian so we could have pool access and were sent to the boulevard apartments no pool there for the kids, There are locals living in this hotel normally not a problem at all but these people were openly doing hard drugs, we also saw multiple accounts of prostitution in the hotel and side road it’s located on we booked an ocean view and were placed in a fence view couldn’t see anything. The bedroom in this property doesn’t have a light fixture in the ceiling at all and I also had to fix the bathroom faucet for the tub and shower they were spraying water out, strongly believe someone tried to break into my truck during our stay and when I told the lady at the desk she tried to play it off like it was already like that definitely didn’t have my security light on it he entire 5 hours we drove to be there and definitely didn’t have pry marks on my truck before this either was going to file police report but time wasn’t on my side considering I had to make a 5 hour drive home to go to work the same day
