Sands Ocean Club Resort

Not a great start to the trip when the resort has zero luggage carts for guest. Ether haul your luggage up to your room by hand or pay one of their “Bellhops”. The room was dirty from top to bottom. Broken closet doors, smelled of mold and overall zero up keep. Would not recommend staying at the resort.

Enjoyed stay, staff was great, live band jammed out each nite.

Upon entering the room, we had no shower curtain, the door did not deadbolt and there was a cupboard broken. 2 days before our stay ended, our A/C stopped working. Maintenance was notified, however we were not offered a new room for this Inconvenience. We ate at one of the restaurants on-site. Good food and decent pricing. We asked for a certain food Item to be taken out of something we ordered as I stated I was allergic. The food was brought out with said allergy on plate. The waitress was not very friendly overall, not a busy spot either. I loved the beach view, the balcony, the pool / beach side bar, I do not see myself staying here again.

The rooms were clean i loved the view sun and wind. I will stay there next year for the whole week .we stay at the dayton it was horrible no wind.so next year it will be here loved it

There was black mold all over the ceiling the rugs were damp.. overall it was aweful

Had a great view and a great time, and is in a great location with a lot of local things to do

The rooms were dated and a little dirty. The sofa bed was broken. The amenities though were great which made it worth it.

Unfortunately, cleanliness was a concern. I found what appeared to be a sanitary part of a swimsuit on the bathroom wall, an empty Twix bag in a dresser drawer, and the bedroom remote was underneath the bed. The living room chair was extremely dirty, and I also found a used Band-Aid near the indoor pool. For a beach resort, I was disappointed that there were no beach towels and no towels available at the pool. The beach itself was beautiful and had excellent access from the hotel. Another major downside was the cigarette smoke. Many areas of the property smelled strongly of cigarettes, and smoking is allowed throughout the resort, which felt very outdated in 2026. The dining hall could also use an update. Since breakfast costs extra, I expected more variety; even basic options like waffles or pancakes would have been nice. It rained during our stay, so the indoor pool and hot tub areas became extremely crowded and felt dirty. The outdoor pool looked nice, though. The hotel does have lively nightlife and live music, and it seemed especially popular with an older crowd. Overall, the location and beach are great, and the room setup was convenient, but the cleanliness, smoking, lack of towels, and outdated dining areas kept this from being a better stay.

First when we arrived I knew it wasn’t going to be good lobby was dirty, I was hopping that our room was going to be clean but nop everything is falling apart , bathroom was dirty ( a lot off hair floor and tub . Mirror was on floor. Hair in beds I didn’t want it to stay because of my kids but unfortunately we didn’t find better place . Next time I’m no going to get a hotel whit very good rate going to go with Excelent rate . Oh I forgot we have breakfast at restaurant in property and of course same thing dirty , dirty and dirty . Never come back again.

The place is falling apart and hasn’t been upgraded in 30 years! Very filthy

Location Dated, it’s looked the same every year I’ve came and it’s not just paint, nothing damage isn’t even getting fixed

Location, live bands They didn't come to our room for trash or fresh towels. Had to go down 2 days in a row and ask for towels. The beds were so uncomfortable. Rooms need to be deep cleaned and updated. The bathroom floors were dirty when we checked in.

Booked a private 2bedroom suite… the hotel was unaware the rooms did not join and needed with 2 separate hotel rooms

I like that it had a lot of amenities It’s old. It seriously needs a remodel.

This was a great place to stay we enjoyed the music the food and the people the staff was very friendly
