Rooms looks a bit old, thin walls so can hear what is happening in other rooms.

The hotel seems fairly similar to many budget hotels in Japan, but the staff are extraordinarily kind and courteous. It’s also great value for the price as you also get a good breakfast and free vending machine. The location is very easy to get to from Nagano station.

The room was great, the beds were comfy and the staff was very friendly. I highly recommend if you stay in Nagano for a day or two and want to explore the mountains nearby as it's only a 5min walk to the closest JR or local train stations. Until next time!

I liked the included breakfast (soba) - didn't expect it. Also free non-alcoholic drinks from vending machine in the foyer. Very close to the station. Great value for money. Friendly staff. It's an older hotel but didn't bother me.

Bed was reasonably comfortable by Japanese standards. Little goodie basket of snacks dropped at my door in the morning. Sento/bath (for men) located on the roof, including an outdoor bath which was a great experience in the snow. I’m moderate-heavily tattooed and was advised it was fine for me to use it if it was quiet and there were too many people, but requested not to use it if it was busy. I used it a handful of times and didn’t ever get too busy. Approx 5 min walk from Nagano station, Lawson located across the street by walking through the undercover carpark Bathroom and bath itself are very small, which is common in hotels in Japan, however this was the smallest I’ve had so far. I’m 5ft1 and I was able to easily touch the roof while standing in the bath, and I couldn’t comfortably sit in the bath. My knees were only a few inches off touching the door when sitting on the toilet. Not huge issues, but something to be mindful of if you’re a large statured person.

While the hotel may show signs of age, it offers a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. Good location. One of the highlights is the rooftop outdoor onsen, which provides a relaxing experience with a stunning view. The lobby features a convenient vending machine offering free coffee, tea, and drinks. The breakfast may be simple, but it is hearty and satisfying. Above all, the standout feature is the exceptional service from the staff. They are incredibly helpful, and the restaurant team is outstanding as well. Kudos to the entire team for making the stay so enjoyable and memorable. NA

Lovely staff and it is ideally located in busy street of nagano. A little bit dated.

The hotel is close to the Nagano station and is easily accessed by foot. The room was small, but comfy and it had everything I needed inside, like kettle, AC, hair dryer, etc. I really enjoyed the public bath here, the men's bath on the rooftop is actually very nice (don't know about the women's though). Also there's a machine with free drinks with a rich choice of coffee, tea and other soft drinks. The breakfast was okay, nothing special, but not a bad one. The staff were nice and helpful, they even agreed to keep my baggage for some time after I checked out so I could walk a bit more around the city. The bathroom is quite small and not very comfortable. Also some cold air from outside was getting in the room through the window, not really much, but somewhat disturbing
