Rooms were nice and clean not deep cleaned but clean the bathroom same. Staff was excellent and very helpful. Breakfast was perfect a lot better than most 5 star hotels and their wine happy hour was the best, got to wet awesome people. The parking is not enough spaces with only 8 in the back and so I had to park in t be front, luckily area seem to be very safe.

Wonderful place to stay. Highly recommended to other guests.

The breakfast is not only delicious but also a memorable experience. Guests gather around shared tables, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where you get to meet and connect with other travelers. The value is incredible, especially considering everything that’s included. The shared living and dining rooms are beautiful, inviting spaces to relax, and the guest rooms are lovely. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. This is, without a doubt, where I want to stay every time I visit Napa. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

The buildings and surrounding property were beautiful. Breakfast and wine/appetizers were outstanding! By far the best part was Dolly our host. She was warm, friendly, helpful and made us feel so welcomed! Our room’s wall finishing was odd.

Excellent place to stay in downtown Napa! Nothing

The location is great, walking distance from downtown restaurants and shopping. The staff is very welcoming and they will also provide a nice kitchen cooked breakfast in the morning. The rooms are beautiful, clean and quaint and each one is different than the next. There’s a private parking lot but also easy and ample street parking if it fills up. Hard to think of any negatives.

We were in the barrel room which was lovely! We were doing a quick trip to Napa from the bay and wanted a comfortable, no-frills room for the night so we wouldn't have to drive home the same day. This suite exceeded our expectations by a mile! The king suite with the connecting bathroom is perfect for two couples for a Napa weekend. We will definitely be back!

Charming accommodations in the suites with large bedrooms. The staff is outstanding, the location ideal in the heart of Napa, and breakfast was incredible and included in the price. Will definitely return!

The hot water in the shower was luke warm. We probably should have said something at the time, but we needed to get going. Everything else was just perfect. It was a beautiful place to stay.

Breakfast was decent and the social hour was nice. We stayed in Walk in the Clouds and it’s more like a walk in the light. The room has so much light pouring in all night. And the traffic noise was pretty bad if you’re sleeping in the room near the main road. The parking is very cramped and the driveway to get in is small. If you’re not careful you will miss it.

Parking was cramped.

Our stay was perfect. The rooms were clean and quaint. The staff were kind and attentive. Breakfast was delicious. Shopping within walking distance. The Friday evening wine and Hors d'oeuvres gathering was wonderful!
-
The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good. The shower curtain did not contain the water and therefore water got all over the floor.

Quaint and pretty Almost no service- we had an early departure - I thought there would be coffee in the kitchen- there wasn’t- I didn’t see any coffee maker that I could use- there was not a soul around- We left without any coffee.

The location was easy to access off of the highway and had off street parking. Our room was to the back and we didnt have any road noise. The upper level room was well supplied with little extras in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. TV, WiFi, AC worked well. Wine glasses were supplied and for an extra $20 we purchased a wine from the property manager Dolly who offered to deliver it to our room. She is a gem. Large delicious breakfast in the morning with a good strong coffee. Lovely quiet patio to enjoy had we been there longer. It was a place my hubs and I would consider staying again, mostly because of Dolly. And I would bring my own pillow. First thing I would change would be the bed pillows. There were many of the same kind and all were stiff. At over 200 a night I would like a quality pillow at least one that is half down. I didn't realize how much I appreciated modern until I was in an old bathroom again. It all functioned, but I would upgrade and modernize it. A modern Victorian bathroom would entirely change the space. Then stop the light pollution from the stairwell door by putting a black out roller shade on the glass door or change the door to a solid which would work the best. Obviously the stairwell needs a light for safety. The curtain provided has a lot of light breaking thru leaving the room dimly lit and not dark. And the shear curtains in the corner were, well, shear without any ability to truly block light. So if you are light sensitive that's a problem, perhaps drink more wine. Finally, take down the two trac lights with 10 lights all pointing to the bed, that was weird and makes the mind wonder.

The perfect location to explore Napa and we thoroughly enjoyed our beautifully appointed and spacious rooms in the Merlot house. Such a treat to share with my sisters.
