San Gennaro B&B

The property has a lot of character and is in an older residential building. It’s located on the 4th floor with no elevator, which was the only downside for us. Other than that, we had an excellent stay. We completed a self check-in using the instructions provided by the property manager, and it took just a minute. From there, everything was smooth and hassle-free. Our room was comfortable, and we stayed for three nights. Overall, it was a great experience and excellent value for the price. Balcony was closed due to construction but it would have been great to have the view of the old town alleyways. And fourth floor with luggage can be hard. There was not anything crazy about the property that we did not like

Once inside the building, it was better than how it appeared on the outside. The room was quiet and nicely furnished. The air conditioner worked great. I did feel secure inside the building. Communication with the owner was not good. He did not let us know ahead of time how to get into the building or where to park. We ended up having to get ahold of him on WhatsApp because he didn't respond to Booking.com messages. His instructions were confusing so we had to call him. He does not understand English very well at all. I asked him about parking at the building and he gave me the name of a parking garage, which charged much more than what he said it would. He advertised parking and shuttle services, which was the garage, and calling us a taxi, which I again had to pay more than what he told us. The building itself was very hard to find - we had to ask several people on the street where it was. The only reason we were initially able to get into the building was because another person was leaving. The buzzer on the street didn't work. No one answered the buzzer at the B&B door. His rooms are located on the top floor (5th) and the elevator had clearly not been working for awhile. If I had not prepaid, I would not have remained.

Great location and a building and room with real Italian character and charm. Really disappointed to find balcony/view completely blocked by construction and scaffolding. While it was mentioned in the fine print, it is easy to miss that important detail. I’m sure this must be frustrating for the owner, as well. But, important to be aware of when booking.

Room was clean kitchen area was small tight quarters 88 stairs to room. Not suitable for children, elderly, disabled or large pieces of luggage. We were told the day before that the elevator was out of service. However from the looks of the elevator upon arrival it was clear it had been out of service for years. The toilet seat in the bathroom was only held on by one bolt and slid back and forth when in use. No view due to construction. Facade was covered completely by sheeting and scaffolding.

Location was good, within walking distance to restaurants and coffee shops. Climb up 5 flights of stairs! Also breakfast included but was only snacks. Would suggest a toaster with breads or something more substantial

Said there was private parking, which I thought meant they offered parking. This actually meant there was NO parking at the hotel, and I had to pay E40/night at a private parking place 2 blocks away. This was a surprise

Charming B&B in an old building in the middle of historic center. Everything about the B&B was exactly as described with no surprises. The room was well equipped, up to date bathroom, clean and in good condition. Our host was friendly and helpful and responded quickly to any questions we asked. Yes, it was on the 4th floor, but that was not an issue since we only climbed the stairs once or twice a day. The location was great, a short walk to all the must see attractions, restaurants, and the Metro.

If you leave the rubbish bin full Gianni will do everything in the room but will not clean the bin. He certainly had bad days. But we had fun anyway. Naples is great.

Location, atmosphere and design of the facilities are amazing! Eventhough the apartment is in the heart of Naples on a lively street, you can barely hear something. We had some problems with the bathroom (shower) and Gianni was very responsive, he offered another room. We were very happy about everything. It was my 3rd time visiting the city and always stayed here. Would highly reccommend.

There was a smell of cigarettes that was a bit off-putting. Also, the area around the place wasn’t really my thing—it just didn’t feel right for me. If you are a girl maybe consider another area.

Nice room, clean.;Good location. Very nice view from the window. Many many stairs up to the property. Be aware if bringing lots of luggage or have bad knees/feet.
