Beautiful state park! They changed our reservation to accommodate us. Only had a half roll of toilet paper for two night stay. No coffee in room but a coffee maker...Needs a fly swatter. There was a 25% coupon to use in a magazine but the lodge wouldn't honor it because we booked thru booking.com

The pool was great and the reason I chose to stay there. We loved being in Brown County State Park during time when it's not so busy. Game room was not fun. It was a waste of money. The only game that a person could win was the duck claw.

We had comfortable beds, bathroom and living area. The fire ring and outdoor activities and INDOOR aquatic center were wonderful. at the last minute - while traveling to the destination - I received a call to tell me that our family cabin / 2 bedroom, full kitchen would not be available. We were given 2 alternative solutions. Both were not acceptable, so I requested to speak to the manager. He was very understanding and worked out a manageable alternative. We were still unable to have a full kitchen but were given two adjoining cabins, so we had 2 separate bedrooms and basic kitchens (no cooking except microwave and nothing but dishes and eating utensils). we were able to adapt to our changed accomodations, but not comparable to our original booking.

The aquatic center was very fun, the restaurant food was good, the location was great. The family cabin was in desperate need of proper upkeep and cleaning. There was a dead mouse on the floor when we arrived, decomposing, and dead bugs all over the floor - very clearly it had not been cleaned in quite some time. The glass patio door was off its track to the point it wouldn’t close, leaving an open gap. The back patio was unusable due to the amount of mildew and dirt on all the furniture.

We stayed in their cabin suite for the first time and loved it! Smelled great and was clean. We were impressed The TV in the bedroom wasn’t working when we first got there but my husband fixed it. So not a problem anymore

We had dealings with maintenance, front desk, and waitresses, all were respectful, kind and very helpful. We were impressed. Short waitresses in the evenings.

Love that the lodge is inside the state park.. The drive in is beautiful. And secluded. The pool area/ water park Was clean and plentiful towels. The on-site hotel restaurant, it's lovely inside with the view of hummingbirds in a fountain... However, the service was subpar. And food just average. Are one hundred and fifty dollar room, said, queen beds at the reservation, but we're just doubles. Well, I appreciate it. It's an elder lodge. The bathroom needed attention, the toilet rocked, the bathroom door what's split and protooting. The grout was moldy. The blinds in the room had been broken.Several times and did not open and close all the way.

The cabin is in the woods and is a great getaway. We enjoyed the spacious cabin with s decent kitchen and linens, and a nice big balcony to listen to birds and night sounds. If you don't like nature, this is not for you. In order to enjoy the park, you do need a car of course. We did wish there had been walking trails near the cabins so we wouldn't have to drive to get to one. You can get meals at the Lodge, but they are not great. We came with our own food. If you like birding, this is a great place to be. Be warned that your phone won't have adequate signal to work as a hotspot in case you have work to do. You will need to go to the Lodge to access a signal and even that is weak at times. We were not there with any work, so the absence of phone signal was okay for us. But this isn't clear on the property's website, though no wifi is clear. No signal for your phone and no wifi are not the same thing.
