Kastello Hotel

A minor drawback (which could easily be resolved) was the lack of power sockets beside the bed - only one for the lamp, which had to be disconnected if needed for charging devices, etc.

Beautiful suite, lots of space, clear instructions. Great location. Very helpful staff. Free parking at the port a short walk away. No elevator but was aware and had prepared. No usable plugs by the head of the bed - headboard fixed to wall so not able to use the plugs the night table lights on each side are plugged into.

Large, comfortable room with good a/c, friendly staff. Need to carry luggage up narrow stairs two flights for our room.

The only issue was getting the luggage up the stairs to the rooms - no lift. Otherwise wonderful.

Great location, helpful staff and spacious, tasteful room :) It was a little noisy as it's closed to the bus stop, but generally it's fine. You get the convenience of taking the bus right from the hotel.

Beautiful, clean, well-equipped room in a lovely older building. Excellent location, close to the various attractions and restaurants in town. Proprietor was helpful and very responsive. I was wary about the off-site parking, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the large lot and easy access. I was also skeptical about the off-site breakfast, but it was excellent--and we enjoyed the walk each morning. If we return to Nafplio someday, we would definitely stay at Kastello again. Not fun carrying our suitcases up three flights of stairs; however, this was advertised very clearly, so I really can't complain. The room was not as quiet as we would have liked, but not bad for a place in the downtown area. (We arrived on a Friday, the evening prior to a big triathlon event, so the traffic was CRAZY, and the downtown area was very loud until late at night.) Nonetheless, Kastello is located a few blocks away from the heart of the downtown area, so it was quieter than a lot of other downtown hotels would have been.

Shower was very basic

It was very clean, comfortable and although being a σοφίτα (attic) it had a lot of room and the balcony was beautiful and had great views We don’t mind it but it is difficult to climb so many stairs.

Great room, beautifully decorated, spotless and in a great location. The surroundings, the squares, everything in the old town is amazing. Extra plus the delicious breakfast in the heart of the old town. And last but never least, exceptional staff! Kind and friendly, great professionals.

Great location. Easy stroll to shops and restaurants. Excellent breakfast served in a cafe about 300m from the hotel. Nothing to not like. Possibly be aware like lots of boutique hotels in Europe it’s an old building with steep stairs and no lift access.

The room was extremely exciting. Near center of old city. I forgot a packet with macarons in the fridge. After 15 minutes, I called them, Anda they answered macarons were in the garbage. But they offer to pay for the sweets. So all were fantastic ?.

Huge room, comfortable bed, location. Noisy and no chairs to sit on balcony.

We stayed in the top floor castle view room and the terrace with view of the castle and hills was really lovely. Bed was comfortable. Easy to find parking nearby and also close to many shops and restaurants. Staff were welcoming and helpful. This wasn't a problem for us, but the rooms are all up quite a few stairs, so be aware if there are any mobility issues.

Excellent hotel at the outskirts of old town. Friendly staff and well equiped rooms with all amenities! We booked a standard room for our wedding and the staff offered us the suite without charge when they found out is was our wedding. We did not ask, we did not beg, we just asked for a late checkout to have some time to get ready and they not only obliged but offered us the suite! Thank you for making our wedding unforgettable!
