A nice hotel, very near the bus station, but they gave me a room right above a late night restaurant. It was quite noisy. I had requested a quieter room. When I asked about this, they said the restaurant noise was part of an ‘urban setting.’ I had to pay more to upgrade to a quiet room. Noisy room. I had to pay more to upgrade to a quiet room.

Perfect location in the downtown Nafplio to walk and enjoy old city in Venetian style. Close driving (or walking) to Venetian forts. Free parking is available in about 300 meters from the hotel. However, you can park 10 minutes nearby for fast loading-unloading. Driving to Mycenaean Acropolis of Midea (~15 km from Napflio) is the must! No conditioning in the dining room at breakfast time. In the mornings before the sun heat it is not critical but desirable.

We liked the great location, the comfortable bed, the new fluffy towels and the staff.

The location was great- very close to public parking and castle, but still on a small charming street. Very easy to access. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the building was charming and old. The room was somewhat dark, and the balcony was not big enough to hang out on. Because of this, we did not spend much time in the room, other than sleeping.

The beautiful, historical hotel is in a prime location on a quiet side street of the old town close to historical sites, coffee, bakery, restaurants and the bus station. Amazing kind and helpful staff.

Great location and staff. Easy walk to shops, restaurants and parks. I got a room with a jacuzzi tub which I enjoyed nightly after so much travel and walking. Nothing!

Best breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. Local pastries, homemade preserves, eggs, espresso, fresh squeezed orange juice. The staff is fantastic, especially Eleanna. She’s a gem!

The traditional ambience was really appealing with the 11 rooms named after the ancient Greek pantheon. Team Dias led by Michael were superb- very courteous, friendly and efficient, going out of the way to make our stay comfortable from check-in to check-out. In fact Michael carried my wife's suitcase up the flight of stairs to the second floor, and spent time giving us insights into the history of Nafplio. His knowledge is remarkable! The location is unmatched, close to the major tourist destinations but not on a main street so there is no traffic noise. The ringing of nearby churchbells just added to the charm. What makes Dias (a variation of 'Zeus' as informed by Michael) the 'Pearl' of the Peloponnese, is the amazing breakfast table, laden with Greek delicacies many homemade, along with the more conventional eggs, sausages, cereals etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and and thank Michael, Elena, Ami and Martina for making our visit so memorable. There was nothing not to like. Though we were on the 2nd floor and there is no lift, Michael carried my wife's suitcase up.

Let's start with the welcoming receptionist. The lady was vibrant, given us recommendations of her favourite spots, offered us to bring bubble wrap from her home to carry glass on the plane (accept our apologies, we left earlier than your shift started). Very pleasant person to be around, and adds a lot to the whole experience. The room was huge and with a cosy feeling to it. Bathroom well equipped, soap, shampoo. At the breakfast we were welcomed by a gentleman who's explained what was on the buffet. The coffee - mouthwatering, scrambled eggs - like you would do at home, tasty, self made jams, just great! We have a direct comparison with a hotel we stayed at the next day, incomparable.

Good location, lovely staff and generously sized room The mattress was a bit stiff and the breakfast would be better all self service for juice and coffee. The coffee could also be hot and of better quality

Everything was as expected and better. The hotels location is great. The room is lovely, spacious and exactly as on the photo with a tiny balcony (standard double) looking at on of the streets of this quaint town, Nafplio. It felt like I was in a truly family run small hotel (only 11 rooms) with staff being exceptionally attentive and caring. I travelled alone and the hotel and staff made me feel at home and safe. I cannot ask for anything more. Everything felt clean and there for the guests comfort. I loved it how at breakfast there is jam made by the mother in law of the owner, and freshly squeezed orange juice, I loved how the tea was made from proper loose leaves, I loved the feel of my room. It all fitted perfectly with the image of Nafplio. I wanted a relaxing, calm holiday on my own and thanks to this place I got exactly that. I do hope that I can return in the future again and meet the lovely people of Hotel DIAS again. I loved everything but if I may suggest adding some fresh fruit to the breakfast selection would be lovely. Especially local easily sourced fruits
