Water in the shower didn’t draining, tv didn’t work, member of our party didn’t have hot water. Great location though.

The location was the best, perfect. The hotel is two converted old houses with separate rooms and stairways in all different directions; no elevator, but it gives you that New Orleans feeling. Some rooms have balconies, others have galleries, and others are interior rooms without windows. Make sure to get the room that fits you best ahead of time. The manager and the staff are super nice and accommodating.

Small, but mighty! Bed was exceptionally comfortable which is most important. I'm sure other rooms are bigger, but mine was perfect for me. Hardly in room at all. Modern and clean bathroom. Some hooks in bathroom would be nice. There wasn't much space to put things.

The location itself is cool & not too far from bourbon. Only like a 5-7 min walk No elevators!!!! All stairs!! After a night of partying & drinking, this doesn’t do any justice. The steps are so steep. If you do book here, just bring a duffel bag.

My room was dirty… pillow had stains. Shower looked dirty the restroom door was broken the floorboard was also lifting. I asked to change rooms and were kind enough to allow it but the new room had a very small window, felt like a box. Our room had a window but it just faced a brick wall definitely felt a bit expensive for what I paid however it was still reasonably priced. Didn’t bother to complain since we were out most of the day anyways and their AC worked perfectly. Just disappointed, the pictures listed made it look better than what it actually was.

The Royal Hotel was beautiful. The rooms were on the small side but the beds were big and so comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Everything in the French Quarter is within walking distance of this hotel. Magical!

We went during summer during peak humidity and although the AC worked, our room did feel very damp. The amenities are a bit older so working the shower was also a bit of a struggle. The place is as pictured, except the rooms are a lot smaller and not noise proof. Overall, it’s a cute and convenient place but definitely not handicap friendly as there are no elevators. Only stairs. Staff was very friendly and helpful!

Staff is friendly & helpful. Perry at the front desk is the best! As stated here, no elevators (or bell staff). If you’re fit, great and if not, you will be, but pack light. Even so, I do recommend!

The room was clean, balcony view was nice, but bathroom was small. There was lights bulbs that were out and light switches that didn't. over all it was a nice stay if you like being down in the French quarter.

We enjoyed ourstay

Parking is extremely limited, as the description discloses. If there’s an event, 24 hr neighborhood parking is unavailable. Staff attempted to help me locate parking, but I found a garage 1.6 miles away.

The rooms were clean, the location was central to a lot of what we did in the French Quarter. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. My fiancé complained about the feel of the bed sheets, though once you're tired enough they're not much bother. The parking was an issue as cars without a displayed pass were blocking us in. At one point we had to get an uber because we couldn't take our own car on a day trip.

Pros The staff are all absolutely Amazing! Everyone was so nice. The location is great to walk all the Fench Quarter. The room I had was very large. Cons 1. There is no elevator which is fine but if you are unable to use stairs then make sure to book a ground floor room. 2. The front door was broken when we got there so anyone could walk in and that was a bit unsettling. They did fix the front door the last day of my stay. (Pic incl) 3. The courtyard could use some work. The fountain looks green and slimy and could use some landscaping. 4. In my room you couldn't close the bathroom door all the way so no privacy. (Pic incl) 5. In my room I couldn't use the lamp because there was no plug in. (Pic incl) 6. In my room there were two TVs but you could only use one at a time and to use the living room TV presented a scary trip hazard because the plug dangled across the entry way (pic incl) 7. In my room the desk chair is old and falling apart (Pic incl) 8. In my room the balcony view was not a view (Pic incl) 9. In my room the bed sheets had something gross on them (Pic incl) 10. In my room the shower only had hot water so we couldn't shower after our twelve hour drive which was awful. 11. The shower head is for a 7 ft person so with me being 5'4 had to get on tippy toes and jump to move it in a different direction. 12. I was told there was free parking spots availablable but it was limited. Limited it was. I had to pay $160 so budget for that.
