Overall it was decent. Will not stay during August again though. Too hot in Louisiana for a/c problems. Slept naked & still sweated

I love the detail of the hotel the charm and character of its historical detail. That staff was decent. Love that they had someone at the desk 24/7. Its crucial in that area. Love the location being so close to everything. And the price was great. However. I did not like no fridge or microwave in the rooms nor that they allow people to block your car(motorcycle) In the parking lot. I had to push my 850 pound motorcycle through a bunch of cars early in the morning to get out of the parking lot. The staff should not allow Cars to park where they should not have. Once its full they must go somewhere else. Not allow them to continue to pay and keep people blocked in. They should have someone go check parking on a regular and if its full thats that. That was not right.

Interesting historical place to stay, but it's really old and desperately needs some fixing. Tiles in the bathroom had all come loose, had moths flying around my head all night, windows were so thin you could hear people talking outside and understand their conversations, exterior doors didn't close.

I enjoyed my stay and was extremely pleased with the proximity to night life and how quiet the neighborhood was.

Quintessential NOLA with an old school vibe. All the rooms are different but all were comfortable and clean as we had a large party and everyone loved their rooms. Close to the action while simultaneously being off the beaten path so you can get a good nights rest. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Beds were comfy. Pool is very small but still refreshing in July. No need for a car, everything walkable. Highly recommend and we will be back.

Our shower would not work and told the asst manger and he was rude and told me he didn’t have another room to put me in and shower never got fixed! Then paid $56 dollars for them to park my car on top of what I paid for room! It took a hour for them to get my car and there was starbursts wrappers and root beer can in my car when then did finally bring my car to me!

The hotel staff is amazing. They are so friendly and helpful. The hotel needs updating, but overall it’s fairly clean. It is a bit of a walk from the Action in the French Quarter however it was nice to be in a quiet area. I don’t know that I would have felt comfortable walking alone by myself back to the hotel at night, but with my family it was fine.

Amazing staff & beautiful hotel! One of our favorite stays in Nola <3

The location is perfect for what I needed There was a faulty wire in the fire alarm system that went of and I was blamed for smoking in the room even though the smoke detector did not go off along with the fire alarm only until after it was verified by the other co worker that the wire was faulty that they realized I was not smoking in the room.

We loved everything about this hotel, the historic property, the comfortable room, the pools, the value, and the 2 cats that live on the property. The location was 2 short blocks from the N. Rampart and St. Anne bus/streetcar station making it super easy to take the bus or streetcar anywhere we didn't want to walk to. The parking was perhaps a tad expensive but it was worth it to know our car was safe and sound while we explored NOLA on foot. Not that I didn't like it for me but the bed in our room was so high up that it would have been impossible to get on if we were not young and spry. There were step stools next to the bed but I thought of my parents in their 60s and knew they would not have been able to get on it if it had been their room. I didn't see any rooms other than our own so this is probably not an issue everywhere but room 101 may not be accessible for some.
