French Quarter Mansion

The toilet and sink were clogged up the 1st day we got there. It took 2 days to get something to fix it. They did not mentioned there were no elevators thats not got for someone that had knee surgery. No only that but carrying heavy bags I almost fell and could have busted my head.

Nothing. The entire pictures are deceiving. Chandelier barely hanging from the ceiling. The air conditioner would not get cold & when we arrived our door was wide open for however long. We tried to connect to the host but was unable. Very very bad

Location, beautiful finishings in an historic building. Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom and kitchenette. Well stocked. Slight damp smell, no blackout curtains. The shower did not drain well.

Location was very good. It is definitely an old building and gives you that New Orleans feel. We were in condo number eight and it’s definitely roomy. Keep in mind that this is treated more like an Airbnb and there is not service in the building every day. I personally think it is a great place to stay, especially if you really aren’t gonna be in the hotel very much. These aren’t necessarily bad things, but because it is an older building, there is no elevator so depending on which floor you’re on, be mindful that you have to carry your luggage up the stairs.

This was a beautiful space in a great location with a great price. We did find a dead cockroach on our last day, however it’s understandable being the age of the building…

I'm being overly generous by having to give a star to this run down dump. What an absolute disastrous stay. The staff/property management team are deceitful crooks. The pictures posted of the property are bordering on the line of fraudulent advertisement. My guest and I stayed in room #3 the Bourbon. It claims that it can accommodate up to five guests; two queen beds and a twin sofa bed. The sofa bed might accommodate a toddler at best! We were given 3 washcloths for the five us to use for our two night stay. Now the good stuff..... we had ZERO hot water for our entire stay. The water was freezing cold. The shower head was broken as well. In order to use the 'shower' we had to use the shower head like a handheld hose. The toilet seat should be wrapped in caution tape and be deemed as a safety hazard! It is attached to the toilet by one extremely loose screw. You will slip off that thing faster than sliding on an oil soaked slip-n-slide!!! Also, I can't leave out the part about the toilet handle! It falls outta the tank and just dangles there. Don't fret, you will get the full New Orleans experience by staying at this place. Everything feels damp/wet inside the room because of poor ventilation and humidity, wood floors that are cracked, uneven, and surprising guests with free samples of splinters. You will also be given your very own special gift of grocery store feet.

The aesthetic Nothing

The place itself is older, but that’s part of its charm. It’s cute, cozy, and has a lot of character. It can comfortably accommodate a group of five, with a twin bunk bed, a queen bed, and additional sleeping options like a recliner that can be pulled away from the wall and laid flat like a sofa bed. The only downside is that the space is a little tight. However, if everyone has their own corner and settles in, it works well for a group—especially with the extra sleeping space from the sofa bed. The sofa bed is a bit firm and not the most comfortable, but it’s definitely doable for a short stay. It’s also near Royal Street, which is great for shopping for souvenirs, antiques, and visiting museums. If you enjoy exploring those kinds of places, everything is just a short walk away—about five minutes from Jackson Square. Overall, it’s a charming and convenient place to stay if you want to explore the area on foot. One thing to note is that the hotel does not provide parking. So If you are driving in I would recommend using Premium Parking P149, which is located on St. Charles Avenue. It’s a parking garage where you can pay for the amount of time you plan to stay. Its a 7 minute walk from the hotel. The pricing is fairly reasonable, especially for longer stays. Just make sure to check on your car occasionally during your visit. Use the app spothero to check rates for the days you are staying.

The room was smaller than it appeared online. I still have no idea how five people were supposed to fit comfortably in the space. Water also began leaking on one of the beds in the middle of the night, and the staff was exceedingly slow in responding to messages.

In the heart of the French Quarter. A very old, beautiful, interesting property. Completely mismanaged. Absolutely no staff on property. Every interaction is through text with someone called Ty who selectively responds. Our stay was during a cold spell and the heat went out. Just now I woke up to no water. I feel like I’m camping.

We love this location. It’s steps to Bourbon street but on the quiet end of Bourbon. It’s in walking distance to everything in the quarter and even outside of that. This is our second stay and we have always felt safe. We love this building is 200 years old but with being that old the building is not perfect. We actually still love the imperfections as it gives a true NOLA feel. This is our second stay. We stayed in the Biscuit Palace our first stay and the room above for our second stay. We preferred the space of the Biscuit Palace but both have their positive and negatives. Both showers had minor issues. I think it’s better to visit NOLA in cooler months.

The floors are authentic and sometimes it feels like it was fragile to walk on them also the stairs leading up to my room were to steep but that was all the charm of old buildings.

The location was great! Will definitely come back!

The shower heads were a little difficult to figure out, the water was going through the handheld. It got figured out to flow through the overhead. The beds were super comfy (for us anyway). The management was really prompt in responding with codes and whatnot. The beds were super comfy, but because of all the thickness, the sheets wouldn't stay on. Need bigger sheets. We were on the 3rd floor, and the 2nd floor landing light was out. I send a message twice but it never got fixed. The management responded both times. It was pretty dark on that landing. Some people moved in above us, and they were moving furniture at ~2-3am. It sounded like they were running a vacuum cleaner as well.

Great great great location! Cute place, definitely got our steps in daily. Patio was actually a front porch indoors, we sunk to the middle of the bed, was tinier than what we expected.
