We loved our stay! The hotel is well located on Saint Charles Avenue in walking distance to great restaurants and shopping. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. The lobby area is gorgeous with so many lovely areas to sit. The staff for amazingly hospitable. Highly recommend this, particularly if you have students at Tulane 💚💙.

The hotel itself is beautiful. The valet attendant was one of the best parts of the stay. Upon arrival no one was at the desk. I waited several minutes as a line was building and went to the bar to ask if the front desk attendant could be paged. The attendant, an older Caucasian female came in. We proceeded to check in. She asked for id, I gave it to her and she returned it by leaving on the countertop. I brushed it off, she handed keys and never proceeded to ask if I needed anything, which I did. The next day I was gone longer than anticipated and called at 4:57 to ask for towels to be delivered. In a 2 queen bed suite you are only given 3 towels. I arrived to the hotel 4 hours later to discover it hadn’t been done. I go downstairs and the same attendant is on her phone playing a game and says oh someone will bring them up. 20 minutes later nothing. I go downstairs again, and she’s outside. She comes in and I ask can she retrieve them, she disappears around a corner and within a minute returns with them. The next morning a different attendant reprimanded someone else who questioned the fees and taxes. She then proceeded to tell the next guests girl these people are getting on my nerve already (VERY LOUDLY, the lobby could all hear). The hotel could be a good experience if the staff is modified.

One of the front desk associates, a woman with gray hair, was exceptional. She was always attentive, professional, and on top of everything. Unfortunately, my experience with the other front desk associate was very different. She was on her phone, and it took quite a while before she acknowledged that I was waiting. The bartenders were also a mixed experience. One was friendly, attentive, and provided good service, even while spending a significant amount of time talking with someone who appeared to be either her boyfriend or someone interested in her. The other bartender, however, misheard something I said and then went into the kitchen and spoke negatively about me to the wait staff, which was both unprofessional and disappointing. The food and beverage experience was equally inconsistent. Drinks were extremely expensive—$25 for a glass of wine—and while the salmon was excellent the first time I ordered it, the second serving was so salty that it was inedible. Overall, the property is very nice, but the inconsistent service and lack of professionalism from some staff members significantly detracted from the experience.

We enjoyed our conversations with the staff and the recommendations they gave us.

The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, and it was located in a nice part of town. I was planning on parking in the hotel lot but I realized there was enough on street parking that I was able to avoid paying an additional $53 per day for parking!

Great little hotel, nicely decorated. Wonderfully comfortable beds, would definitely stay again.

The electrician was really cool and showed me how to use the remote control on their television. The amenities were good as well. I was only there for one night. As for front desk, I think the night clerk seemed to feel overworked regarding her disposition as my passport was more than sufficient for her to verify my identity but for some reason needed more information, unlike the hotel clerk at a competitor’s hotel the night before. The morning clerk was a ray of sunshine that made my stay pleasant in the end. I still recommend this hotel if you’re new to New Orleans and need landmarks to use as directions.
