We plan on staying here again soon.

Second time staying at the Ponchartrain, and it was excellent. Keep in mind this is an older hotel so you’re getting vintage-ish furniture, great view of the city, rooftop bar, classic New Orleans vibes, large bathrooms, and fairly quiet rooms given the solid structure of the building. Staff is friendly and very helpful. And there is a coffee shop attached in case you’re too cooked to walk anywhere else for breakfast.

We loved our staycation at The Ponchatrain Hotel. It was very easy and fast to get our car whenever we needed it. The staff was excellent, especially Debrionna ( I know I didn’t spell that correctly) she was extremely sweet and made us feel very welcome. She even helped my fiancée to get a bag of ice when I hurt my ankle walking nearby. The only problem was that there was a lot of people in the hotel at night going to the rooftop bar. A little too noisy and crowded but as soon as we got to our room it was quiet.

Of all of the hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. My room on the 5th floor with windows facing the street and side street was the quietest I have ever stayed in. From the bedroom I couldn’t hear any street noise at all. You didn’t hear an obnoxious loud toilet flush and couldn’t hear it at all from the other room. Chairs in living room a little stiff but it was a great room. Was very happy.

The hotel is dated, but the room was perfectly fine. Quiet. The restaurant was GREAT! Fine dining but can you can dress more casually, and the food is not overpriced. Hotel staff helpful. The parking is more difficult than many hotels because of the location. You essentially HAVE to valet. The rooftop bar deck is really stunning at sunset. Great view of New Orleans.

We had no hot water. Called housekeeping multiple times and did not receive what we asked for. The bar upstairs was not clean. Not the same hotel I stayed at 7 years ago. Disappointed.
