The biggest thing to keep in mind is the location. You are right in the French Quarter, very close to Bourbon Street, so it is going to be loud at night. The hotel does provide earplugs, which I appreciated, but realistically, if you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful hotel where you can get uninterrupted sleep every night, this probably isn’t the best choice. However, if you want to be right in the middle of everything, the location is fantastic. You can walk out of the hotel and immediately have restaurants, bars, shops, entertainment, and plenty to explore without constantly needing to call an Uber. For me, that convenience was a huge plus. Overall, it’s a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff and a lot of charm. Just come knowing you’re staying in the heart of one of the busiest parts of New Orleans and set your expectations accordingly. If you want to experience the French Quarter and be able to walk almost everywhere, this is a great place to stay.

Right on Bourbon Street. Boutique hotel with its own bar and a coffee shop and little inner courtyard. The rooms are nice except one notable item; the room had a ceiling fan directly above the canopied bed. This hotel and decor all fit the New Orleans life. All staff was helpful and plenty of stories and energy.

The hotel was quintessential NOLA..small intimate full of character being an older space. The hotel being aged does not mean it has to smell awful. Since they have no air conditioning it was very damp and hot and smelled like mold and mildew. The rooms also only had a small window unit which did not really cool the room in the summer heat. The attached bar was also hot and smelled bad. Staff was very kind is the only good thing I can say about this hotel.

Beautiful property. Very central location. Lovely, romantic courtyard. We did not have a top sheet on our bed during our stay, thought I asked for one, only a duvet. But it was too warm to use a blanket or sheet anyway! Hospitable staff.

The staff were amazing and made the stay all the better

Gorgeous boutique hotel with fantastic updates that also keep the charm and history of a French Quarter building. Beautifully decorated. Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. It is very close to Bourbon Street, so there is quite a bit of noise, especially at night. I sleep with earplugs anyway, but I know the hotel does offer them if needed. Courtyard is fantastic and has plenty of seating. Would definitely stay at The Celestine again when in the French Quarter.

We enjoyed the bar, and the courtyard was a lovely place to relax. Coffee and pastries are offered in the morning and two drink cards were included in the stay. My room was clean and right off of the courtyard. The staff was pleasant and the location was great.

Staff was helpful! Bar was awesome. They gave us two complimentary drinks at the bar when we checked in. Coffee bar is delicious. Courtyard is maintained very nicely.
