The hotel is in a good location, the staff a generally welcoming and the rooms are clean and well done. I booked a "City View" room, my room was far from that and had a view over the street into other peoples houses. I personally don't care that much but double checked with reception as I didn't want to be paying for something I didn't get. The man behind the counter then lied to me and said that the hotel had upgraded me to a city view even though I had booked it myself.

When I checked in, the person who helped seemed neutral about the job and was not friendly. After I gave her my name, she spent almost 10 minutes typing on her computer without talking to me. I have no idea what she was doing and I have never had a check in last that long. When turned on, the bathroom light automatically turned on an exhaust that was loud enough to be especially annoying. The window had only a shade so I could not open it without all the people in the business building across the street able to look into the room. Would have been nice to have some kind of cover that would keep people from being able to see into the room but would allow light to shine in the room. One day I waited 6 minutes for an elevator. Another day I waited 12 minutes for an elevator. You have to leave very early for meetings or appointments to make sure you can catch an elevator.

There was not a breakfast or continental breakfast you had to pay $20 for your breakfast. There is no coffee in the lobby. You had a coffee maker in your room but when you walk out of the hotel, you’ll be looking to carry a cup of coffee for the most part, everything was fair.

The fire alarm kept flashing all night long and made a clicking noise. The AC was barely working. Had it set at 65 and didn’t get below 73 in the room. So didn’t get any sleep. The bathroom sink wouldn’t drain.

Location of the property was really good, closely connected to subway, restaurants, cafe, groceries etc. Room service was not regular in spite of everyday requests done earlier. Intercom wasn’t working
