Great location. Room was big enough for 2 for a short stay. It was quiet. Th lobby is kind of sketchy. But big elegant lobbies are only important in movies. The AC was difficult to modulate.

Great location and wonderful front desk staff!! I asked for fresh bath towels and never got them.

I like very much the location and the cleanliness of the hotel. The elevators are too small, but I guess there is not much the staff could do to fix that. The location and the view from the hotel were fantastic. The elevator is too small and there is no access through the stairs, the only way up or down is through the small elevator. There is not an option with breakfast included and the bar closes at 10:00 PM.

I stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton at 251 West 51st Street in New York City from June 4 to June 14. Overall, my stay became a very positive experience thanks especially to Tamia at the front desk. Tamia and Rosie immediately understood that I was staying for 10 nights and did their very best to find me a suitable room. I was given a room on the 19th floor, away from the elevators, with an incredible view and beautiful natural light. I absolutely loved the room. It felt like a little gem, and it made my stay in New York much more special and memorable. I especially want to recognize Tamia, who was outstanding throughout my stay. She is professional, efficient, warm, and clearly very skilled at what she does. I saw her manage phone calls, walk-ins, check-ins, check-outs, mail services, and guest requests at the same time, while remaining calm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. My check-in and check-out were both handled quickly and smoothly thanks to her. If I return to this DoubleTree location, it will largely be because of the excellent care I received from Tamia. I would also like to give a special mention to Margarita from housekeeping, who serviced my room impeccably every single day. During a 10-night stay, that level of consistency and care made a real difference. My room was always clean, comfortable, and well taken care of. The pre-arrival experience could have been smoother, as there were several email exchanges regarding taxes and fees that had not been included in my prepayment. I had also submitted a request for a high floor and a room away from the elevators, subject to availability, but this request did not appear to be in the system when I checked in. There were a few areas that could be improved. I experienced a late-night plumbing issue with clogged toilets. The issue was addressed after I reported it to the front desk, but when I returned to the room after housekeeping had serviced it, the toilet bowl had not been cleaned. Thankfully, housekeeping came back and cleaned it later that night, which I appreciated. I also had a disappointing experience at Duomo, the Italian restaurant on the 7th floor. With the exception of the host and Roland, who were pleasant, the service did not feel as welcoming or attentive as expected. I also noticed what felt like a difference in the warmth and helpfulness shown to me compared with some families around me. I cannot speak to anyone’s intentions, but the experience made me uncomfortable and left me feeling that I had not received the same level of consideration. Yet, I am grateful for the care I received from Tamia, Rosie, and Margarita. Tamia in particular truly elevated my stay through her professionalism, kindness, efficiency, and warmth. I hope the hotel recognizes her for the excellent service she provides to guests.

Nice staff, clean and quiet. Great location! Beds could be a little comfier but they were okay.

Close to every thing! Very small lobby so could get very crowded while waiting but the staff still did their best!
