Great location and good functional hotel. Rooms were smaller than I expected but still adequate for 2

I saw them installing the automated check-in and check-out counters next to the reception. What a bad idea. Trying to save on staff ? Being an ex hotelier myself , I know the value of why a guest becomes loyal to become a repeat visitor, it’s the staff’s warmth which draws you back every time . Your check-in experience is the beginning of your memory / recommendation. How many times have you recommended an ATM location where you had wonderful experience withdrawing cash ?

The hotel was exactly as pictured and the front desk lady that checked us in was very nice and super helpful. The only issue is that the sofa bed is not comfortable and the light switches are confusing.

superb staff

It is in a good location, right near the Herald Square subway stop. Room was comfortable and well maintained, and the bed was comfortable. Even the in room coffee maker actually worked. Breakfast was very good. The only issue was they kept charging my card hundreds of dollars and the room was prepaid. Manager corrected this on departure finally, but I asked about it each morning.

The elevators was a horrible experience. Never again… u push whatever floor you’re going to it skips it then skips it again on the way down. It’s like up and down. It’s a nightmare.
