Room decent size, clean, even though there wasn’t a person at desk at all times, the app is super responsive

We arrive to our room and noticed it wasn’t the correct room. We tried to find the receptionist but they had gone on a break. Over the last hour I went downstairs to check if the receptionist returned with no luck. In the meantime I am using the chat feature on the app. No help whatsoever. Poor customer service. They had me on hold for over an hour, only to say there were no king size beds available. I contacted Expedia for some help to obtain a refund and the hotel denied the refund and because of expedias refund policy, I couldn’t get my money back. We left the hotel and stayed elsewhere and Expedia continued to attempt to get our refund. I finally got through the hotel and they offered us a refund for the days we did not stay and only charged us for one night, but they also charged us for the upgraded room and when I asked about that they never responded. Do not stay here. Absolutely terrible experience. Uncomfortable bed and uncomfortable space for that queen room I was in.

There was an issue with their booking system and they had to move me to a nearby hotel. The communication around this was not handled well, I found out about the issue when I received an email regarding having a card on file for the new hotel. It took several calls and chats to find out that I was being moved to a new hotel and to confirm that I had a room. I received an email as I was boarding my flight to NYC that my stay had been cancelled. Overall the actual hotel was great but the poor communication around the room situation would make me hesitant to book another stay with Sonder.

Spacious room in a great location.

Great room. Room temperature was either freezing or warm. Shower water temperature was either scalding or cold. Internet was virtually non existent. Great location!

Good location. Staff did not allow us to check into our room at 4pm, although our check in time was 4pm. When we went to our room, staff was still cleaning our room, even past 4pm. We then had to wait 30 minutes in the hallway for the room to inspected. Very unprofessional and untimely of them.

This is not a hotel, you dont have pront desk, a phone to call anyone, at night there is no security.

Extremely unpleasant rooms and staff. They only use room codes and they always don't work and can't find anyone to help you when there is a problem. Don't stay here not worth it

Property has a rooftop bar and a speak easy that has an adjacent entry to the main door, it was okay.

Best people running the show, they were kind and accommodating. Even when there was maintenance on a floor, they found a way to get me back to a compromised room size. I will be back to this Sonder Flatiron location! Thank you!

Excellent room, very large with tons of windows. Unbeatable location. Room condition was so-so. Note to Sonder: just because there is a microwave doesn't mean its a kitchen lol. No stove or hot plate, no toaster, 1 mug for 2 people etc. Room is fantastic but the property could try a little harder. We had to request a shower curtain ...

The location was great. Bed ok. The bathroom wasn't very clean, hair on the floor didnt have extra towels accessible easily. Wouldn't stay here again.

Loved the fact that I had free access to Blink gym 3 blocks from the property.Property in an ideal location.

Thankfully the staff upgraded my room, which was better. I'm not sure I'd stay again.

The hotel is located in an amazing and safe area. Unfortunately the check in process is not great. The room is small as expected but you could barely get into the bathroom with how the toilet is placed and the door doesn't swing open all the way. The floor in the bathroom was dirty, the shower drain had hair in it, the ceiling vent had dust on it that flew down when you turned it on and the bathroom vanity cabinet was broken and beat up. The room space is decent, but the bedding is really bad. It's a synthetic fiber comforter that has been washed so much that the fibers just clump into certain areas and should be thrown out. Definitely not what I expected.

We expected a normal trip to New York as we typically stay at 4 star hotels. We were disappointed to say the least. Our bathroom was small, leave the door open to use the toilet, the shower could use a good cleaning.

Unique location if you love vibrant street life. Easy to walk towards Empire or other way to Washington park. You basically rent a room with no other hotel facilities. Virtual key chain did not work properly which was quite annoying. Room windows were dirty that gave uncomfortable feeling. The staff was not always present or came late.
