This is a two star hotel as listed, but it delivers value on all fronts.Staff are friendly and obliging. You have to ask for room to be serviced one day ahead, but this was always happily accommodated. Great location for Madison Square Park & MSG, plenty of nearby food options of various levels, close subway proximity. Whilst little character remains in the rooms, other than the ornate cornices, the room appointments are basic but well maintained. Beds are comfy and room servicing was well done. Stayed in two different rooms, beginning and end of trip, and found the standard consistent. Lift is slow, but it's an old character building!!

The room was clean and the staff were very friendly and polite.

Staff and management were helpful and super friendly. But the hotel needs to update many things. Our door lock was almost falling apart. The bathroom was really old, and the sink was the tiniest sink in the country, for sure. The room and beds were clean, but the bathroom smelled terrible, and the bathtub was super old with yellow and brown stains. Even though they came and bleached the toilet bowl and the bathtub, the sewage smell bothered us during our stay. Also, we had to shower in our Crocs.

The hotel is in a fantastic location. Flatiron is the perfect neighborhood to stay in the city. 25min walk to the heart of manhattan and many trains nearby. Staff at The Heritage has always been kind and available for any request! The room was a bit small and since windows cannot be opened there’s always a little bit of humidity inside.

Everything was wonderful - cleanliness, amenities, staff, etc. No complaints except the twin beds kept moving around when I would sit at the edge. Hoping they can lock the wheels in the future. Otherwise, great location and I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel itself is an older building with beautiful architecture. There is a large breakfast room. Since the hotel no longer serves breakfast, guests can use this space to prepare their own meals. A microwave and a toaster are available for use. We were a group of four and had booked two rooms, each with a king-size bed. The rooms were clean and of standard size (approx. 20 sq. m). The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful; I personally needed to switch 1 room - this was handled without any issues the following day. If you arrive by car—as we did—there is an option to park in a garage at a discounted rate. I would book this hotel again anytime for a stay in New York.

The hotel is very well located, very close to different subway stations and buses, as well as markets and places to eat out. Two elevators available. 24h reception. Room had enough space for two people, a small fridge and aircon which were essential during the heatwave. Bed was comfy, they cleaned the room every other day. Shower was also good. Didn't like having to pay $2 per luggage we left for a couple of yours after checking out.

Three twin beds, but comfortable. Small bathroom, very very nice staff. Nice amenities. It was a nice time. Great for a night or two.

Central location in Manhatten. Reception staff were always friendly and helpful. Building is old. Room facilities sparse. It is the only hotel I've stayed in that does not have a kettle to boil water. As the property is located in Manhatten, value for money is going to be a problem for most hotels in the district. We hired family suite, which consisted of 2 bedrooms with connecting door and a very small bathroom, small wash basin, shared between 5 adults.
