Front desk was ok. Tv didn’t work in the room

The staff was great, the location was great. The room was as expected. But when you have two of the three elevators out of service, bad things happen. Especially when the staff used the same elevators. And each day there was something shorted in the replaced linens (hand towels, wash cloths, toilet paper) - likely due to the elevator issues
-
Very nice accomodations. Staff was helpful. Location was amazing!
-
There are three elevators two were functioning until there was only one functioning the line just to get your room was over an hour and to get down was over an hour. So we chose to walk 30 flights upstairs and it was very unsafe if there were a fire no one could move up or down elevatorsx2 days

Elevator problems
-
There was no power to the bedroom lights. I could not power up my CPAP machine.
-
I have never left a bad hotel review - but I strongly recommend calling the hotel to ensure repairs have been completed before booking.
-
The convenience store was overpriced. Even Wifi costs extra. Other than fairly decent cleanliness and a more convenient location I can't really recommend this hotel.
-
The Elevators were down, long waits

As far as the room goes, the “city view” is seeing the apartment building behind the hotel. The room was very small, the shower door didn’t close so water splashed out everywhere. The AC had very little circulation, even at the lowest temps we were still sweating. Housekeeping didn’t come until 6pm. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were so deflated. You could hear your neighbors take a shower. The doors closed very hard, so we heard everyone else coming in and out.

If you decide to book this hotel, be aware of the following: - the hotel has over 30 floors but has only TWO working elevators. The staff also use them. Luckily I was on the 3rd floor so I used the stairs. Many people would be waiting up to 30 minutes for the elevator. - housekeeping can be inconsistent. Some days the room was cleaned other days it was not. I ended up taking towels from the cart. - across the street is a closed business so a group of homeless people live there. They were a bit loud so that could be offputting for some. - there is a restaurant attached to the hotel that offers a buffet for $25 each. I never ate there but breakfast in the city can be expensive. - with the name Hilton I had higher expectations for my hotel experience.
-
Out of the 3 lifts only 2 were operational for the entire duration of our stay. It didn’t appear that hotel was trying to repair the broken lift. This resulted in long wait times for the lift.

Breakfast quite expensive

AC malfuction compresor making noise without stoping

Great location staff was excellent rooms were very clean.

Front desk staff was Amazing! Location is great especially for walking to everything. Can def use a refresh on the inside. Wasn’t the cleanest especially the rooms but do able.
-
My room didn’t get cleaned until after 5pm daily. The first day and half I was without a tv. They had the engineer come several times and they couldn’t fix it. The door was very heavy and stuck. Last but not least you had to wait for about 15 minutes if not more for an elevator. I asked for some type of comp and was told they couldn’t.

Exceptional
-
Check in was easy, nice of the hotel to be able to hold your bags before check in and after check out. The stay however was slightly disappointing. One of the 3 elevators was broken for 3 days, and in NYC that is devastating for a hotel with 30+ floors. Ended up frequently using the stairs to go up and down and carried luggage down 8 flights for check out. Front desk didn’t offer any free waters or anything ti compensate. The AC in the hotel was also mediocre and it felt very muggy, the thermostat wasn’t adjustable. Other than that the room was clean and in a good location.

Great location just off Time Square. Very friendly staff. Clean, good sized rooms Long wait for lifts at busy times. No bar or in-house restaurant. Scaffold on building during our visit. Water expensive so buy locally at 7/11. Sliding door on bathroom.
