Great location and modern hotel. We experienced a lot of noise from parties in hotel rooms Saturday night and staff is somewhat friendly but don’t expect high level of service.

Great location and fun vibe. Rooms were tight, but clean and comfortable. Need to work on making sure that items left behind make their way into the lost and found, but they seem to have tried hard to help us.

The configuration of the room was such that there was enclosed bathroom. The sink was in the room, which I knew based on the pictures. However, there was neither an indication nor photos of the fact that the shower and toilet were separated, AND, there was no privacy getting out of the shower because opening the shower door meant walking in the room. Not what we signed up for, but decided to just live with it.

Hotel is located in a decent area. Near chinatown and little Italy. Lots to do at night. The rooms are smaller than what the pictures look like, but they are nice. Staff is friendly but were not very helpful when asked about the rooftop entrance. The rooftop transforms into a nightclub after 9pm, which was something that was skimmed through at check in. Also I was told that my $20 daily credit was not available to use at the rooftop bar because their “machine wasn’t working”.. i later asked the downstairs main bar if their machine was working to use my credit to buy a redbull and they told me that we can use our daily credit even if the machine isn’t functioning, they just need to manually enter the information.

I would not recommend this if you’re looking for a quiet spot. There are people going in and out at all hours of the night because of the nightclub. Our room was still quiet, but it is something to be aware of. The lobby was often hectic too. The space was very clean and well decorated. It’s conveniently located too. I would stay again, except that the staff was not overly warm. Rooms are great.

I am only writing this review in regard to a smoking charge on our room that everyone who is considering booking here needs to know about. We are a family of four that stayed in a room with bunkbeds. Our time at the hotel was relatively pleasant and quiet and we enjoyed the location. However, upon checkout we were not emailed or given our invoice for the room. Only when we arrived home and followed up on this, we learned of a $500 USD smoking charge that was applied to our bill without any staff member notifying us at the time or before we checked out. I can understand from the hotels perspective that there are likely many people who claimed to not smoke in their rooms, but actually do so this can be a challenging situation. However, we did not smoke. We brought a hairdryer from home - which can be the only thing that must have triggered the sensor in the room. Had a staff member come up at that time. They would realize that that would have been the case. It is an abuse of any guests credit card to charge them without any staff confirmation of cigarette smoke or smoking paraphernalia in the room. I am saddened to say that I’ve been in contact with the hotel multiple times as well as the parent hotel Marriott and no one is willing to reverse this charge. It has been almost a month now since we’ve been home and we are currently now going through a charge back with our credit card company. This has been by far the worst experience we’ve ever encountered at a hotel.

Location is good. Rooms small, but ok. Staff incapable of providing a receipt, including staff at the Marriott hotline. I can't get a receipt with the correct company name on it! Left all details with the front desk, including business card. Got the confirmation it would be sent by email. After that, 5 attempts, including an intercontinental phone call with an agent of limited capability, but high level of arrogance - to no avail.

incredible room and staff. The staff, room and bar areas were incredible. However, my credit card that was used for incentives was charged a total of 908.22, 11 times during my stay. My bank called me to inform me this was happening and put a freeze on my card. The amount of the debits was so significant, not even the bank had seen this. Spoke with staff and upper management on the phone and during the phone call, The Moxy hit my card again in a 5 minute span two more times. I understand things happen, but this was extremely excessive. I, like anyone would, demanded that card be removed on my file and they Moxy staff was extremely accommodating. Luckily, the funds were placed back in to my account 7 business days after. I can see how this would affect someone greatly and glad it happened to myself. It was resolved but it was a nightmare and ruined an afternoon of my time in a 3 night stay.

We absolutely loved our room! We had a king-size room with very large windows, which was absolutely stunning at night. It was such a pleasure to sleep there! The staff were very friendly, both at reception and at the bar. The hotel is just a 2-minute walk from the subway and very close to Chinatown, SoHo, and other great areas. We also felt safe in the neighborhood at night. We really appreciated the $20 daily credit to spend at the bar. The mocktails were delicious, and the atmosphere was great as well. Overall, we had a wonderful stay! Nothing
