Location It was a little shabby from the outside, the sign was a piece of cardboard with U Hotel wrote in pen and stick on the window

Clean rooms, VERY centric. A little on the smaller side but good to rest after a day in NYC

Good for just a night. Location was a bit difficult to find with just a small paper sign in the front. The lobby is practically non-existent and with just one person at the desk, check-in took a bit of time. There was hardly anywhere for people waiting to stand and despite checking in (albeit the room not yet ready), guests were informed there were no public restrooms. If you store your bags for the day, they will eventually bring them to your room but it seemed more like out of necessity rather than hospitality since there was very little room to store bags on the first floor. The $23 fee upon check-in is also suspicious - you are told there is water and snacks for "free" in your room but really this covered by those fees and you can opt out of paying for it if you don't want the snacks/water. And by snacks, I mean a pack of 2 milano cookies, a small bag of doritos, one other small bag of pretzels and 2 poland spring water bottles. For $23? The room was clean but very tiny and any more than 1 night would probably become cumbersome. Bed was comfy and shower was fine. Just really difficult to move around the room.

Clean room, great bathroom and amazing location

Location and price was competitive. Lots of noise. Lots of sirens and horn honking right out the window. Trash truck picks up trash right out the window at 0500 and is very loud. Need earplugs. Ac unit is loud and 5 feet from your bed. Room is very small.

Loved this place would definitely stay again, proximity to where we wanted to be and very convenient. Small room but literally all you need for NYC stay.

Great location - super comfy bed - small room but to be expected. Minutes from everywhere. Friendly staff. Bottles of water and snacks provided which was a lovely surprise! Also mini bottles of water when you arrived or left each day. It was crazy hot, so that was an excellent perk! There was a window in a small corner of the room above the air conditioning unit but it didn’t offer a view of anything except a little sky. We weren’t in the room all that much so it was fine. The air conditioning unit itself was a bit hit or miss the first day. Slight burning smell which concerned us but it leveled out after that. The elevator was a bit clunky and slow, but worked. If you are going to be out and about most of the time, this is the e perfect place to stay, especially for the convenience of the location and comfortable bed.

It was in the best location. Being near K-town was great with all the restaurants and stores nearby. There was a subway entrance close to the property so it made it simple to go anywhere else in the city. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and made the check-in and check-out process easy. The hotel was very clean. The rooms were also very clean and just enough for what you need while in NYC. Next time I need to stay in NYC, I will check here first.
