Novotel Nha Trang

There were two significant issues with our stay. First, the hotel’s policy appears to require children under the age of 12 to share their parents’ bed. An additional bed is available only for an extra charge. However, we booked the room through Booking.com for three guests, so we reasonably expected suitable sleeping arrangements for all three people to be included in the reservation. This was apparently not taken into account. Since no extra beds were available, we were given only a mattress for our child to sleep on. Booking.com should review this issue and make the sleeping arrangements and any additional charges much clearer during the reservation process. Second, the suite has a very large bathroom with transparent sliding glass doors. This creates a serious privacy problem, as anyone using the bathroom or taking a bath must get dressed inside before opening the doors; otherwise, they can be seen by everyone in the room. This is poor design and could easily be improved by applying frosted film or another privacy covering to the glass.

Wonderful location, ocean view room and nice breakfast. Staff here are very helpful. Have enjoyed staying here many times.

The room has good soundproofing, and the bed is comfortable. There were two things I disliked most about Novotel: 1. Terrible food: After checking in and while waiting until 2:00 PM for my room, I ate at the restaurant on the first floor. It was the worst pizza and sandwich I’ve ever had. The pizza crust was made from frozen dough and was rock hard; the sandwich was also tough, and the ingredients lacked flavor. I forgot to take a photo, but honestly, fast-food chains like Pizza Hut taste better. Considering how common high-quality Italian pizza, wood-fired pizza, or 4P’s pizza is in Vietnam now, it’s shocking that a chef at a 4-star hotel would serve such poor quality. This was the first thing that ruined my mood. 2. Lack of communication regarding beach services: Upon check-in, the receptionists failed to mention that the sunloungers on the beach in front of the hotel are only free from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. When I went down to the beach at 4:05 PM, I saw umbrellas with the hotel logo and intended to sit down. A man approached me and rudely asked, 'How many chairs?' Thinking he was hotel staff, I said I needed two. He told me it would be 200k VND for two chairs; otherwise, I couldn't sit there. Goodness, I felt like I was back in Vung Tau 20 years ago!!!!! I paid 3.5 million VND for a one-night stay mid-tour. It’s not that I can’t afford extra for services, but the experience was bizarre and talking to that man completely soured my mood. If the hotel wants to provide loungers for guests, they should cover the cost for the entire day. If they can’t do that, they should just remove the chairs entirely.

The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Nothing, I loved it!!!

The staff especially the security really not welcoming , I felt everyday like being hated the way look .. never smiled .. one time I confronted one of the security for giving me such a looked .. I felt racism and discrimination toward service since check in the front office not even felt welcoming at all

Staff and location Using the Booking. com reservation was a major issue. Many problems. Unfortunately, somehow there was a double booking for the same reservation. Name and date. Novotel was contacted and I tried to contact Booking (no success). Novotel stated that they could not refund the overpayment. Thus I paid double 4 star rate for a 3 star hotel. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. Will avoid using Booking.com in the future.

Its beautiful and clean. We got ocean view and really enjoyed it.

Loved this hotel! Great location across the street from the beach, close to restaurants & shops. I stayed in a full ocean view w/balcony. The room was beautiful. The bed & pillows were incredible and I loved the step down shower/bathtub! Complimentary reclining beach chairs. Would stay again! Recommend 10/10!

Our son got high fever right the first night we arrived but the staff were very attentive and made us feel cared for during our stay. The location was perfect for beach and city exploring.

Very central. Straight across from the beach. Good selection at breakfast. Very nice staff. Didn’t like the policy of having to provide proof of payment by showing them the credit card we had paid with We booked and paid in full 7 months ahead. By the time the visit came round my card had been replaced by my bank. It delayed check in. The split level room took a little bit of getting used to.
